I'd be whining about that too - ruin a bunch of good food with those 3 (actually I love plums but prefer apple crumbles to be apple crumbles) ;).

As for the pulled pork, I didn't even realise Whangarei had hipsters let alone expect you to be one.

You're too well fed or been in Sydney too long. Was not aware pulled pork is hipster food, it has redneck origins . -

I never knew it was hispter food either, but then I have had a beard since 2002, so maybe I started the movement or sumink?

That's not a beard bro, it's George Michael designer stubble. -

says the man with a pic on FB with 'designer stubble' claiming 'I miss my beard'

It's big time hipster food, in all the hipster cafes - actually all the franchises on now peddling it too, so maybe it's cross over to general boganry so will fit well in Northland?

I really wish hipsters weren't known for beards, it took me 39 odd years to get the courage to grow one, and admittedly it is shit but I just hate shaving so want to keep it.
-

So you admit going to hipster cafes? Hellers sell pulled pork in sealed packets like shaved ham here, its too mainstream to be a hipster thing in NZ. Must be a Sydney thing.

I've never understood the beard thing, haven't you got enough extra hair growing out your nose and ears?
-

I admit to walking past hipster cafes ....

As for the ear and nose hair, I'm not very hairy so not really growing strongly in those regions.
-

Made some adjustments there. A mate put me onto this old retired engineer that like to small bits of fabrication work and called him the "ewok" when I asked why he said "you'll know when you see him". I understood when I saw him ,but from memory ewoks don't grow hair on the external surfaces of their nose.
-

Does the younger one still get into your bed in the middle of the might? My boy was like a ninja, he never woke me up once getting into bed.
-
Nope, that is another thing we have been strict on, kids sleep in their own beds, we sleep in ours.

Fucken aye

Back at work today, no kids! -

It would appear my boy is scared of the dark, which probably explains why he has been more and more reluctant to go to bed recently. After reading to him and signing him a song last night he wouldn't let me leave, and ended up saying "I'm scared daddy". Managed to work out that it was the dark, and when I turned on the hallway light and left his door open he was happy to go to sleep. I guess a night light is the best solution for that?

Also with feeding, like others he seems to want to eat every hour or so, meaning by the time I serve dinner he is not really hungry and thus less likely to eat things like vegetables which we are struggling with a bit. He loves fruit and most other things, but always refuses his veges.
-

Like sleep, or dummies, that's another pattern that needs consideration on how to adjust. Go through a couple of days of utter shit with refusing him food, and he'll learn. Also with the veges, mash that shit up and put cheese in it.
-

Our kids have to ask for food if it's not during meal time. We have 5 kids and we've found it useful in having conversations with them about food and what they eat. They come and ask for a something, we ask them what have you eaten today? Have you had any veggies or fruit? Have you been drinking water etc. Then we can help them decide what will be good to eat or if they need to wait a bit longer. -

My mum still bleats about the time the washing machine shat itself when she had three kids in nappies. She rang the local dry cleaner in tears out of desperation , he sent around his wife to pick up the washing and they dropped back the huge pile of clean nappies then refused to take any money for it.
