i find deliberate collapsing reprehensible, its one thing ive never come across someone advocating for in person but i know its out there
knowing a guy, how lost his ability to walk in a collapsed scrum really clarified what is right and wrong for me
-
@mariner4life I think you are misconstruing what I meant.
The Wallabies couldn't close out a game to save their fucking lives, whether it's collapsing a scrum or otherwise. I think the NH teams are very good at it. Perhaps 'notorious' was the wrong word.
You also rarely see it from the Darkness because, well, they rarely need to.

It's been fun-ish. A wee bit too much messy Rugby for my liking though.
I assume next year the games will be mixed up more between trans-tasman and games between franchises from the same country and it will be a single competition.
I’m not a fan of the two seperate comps. Needs to be combined somehow

If we combined the tables, would we get the Saders versus Blues in Christchurch?
If so that seems about right.

Brumbies with a Pasifika jersey
pretty cool, i do love the irony of a landlocked region with the boat and ocean on the front of their jersey
Is that a scene from the film Moana on the front of the jersey?
I think it is Johnny Depp at sea but on a bender. As a zombie cannibal.

This comp is like taking the Premier League and pitting it against the MLS and expecting a meaningful result.
Exaggerating for effect but it does reveal an underlying truth -- TT is not a meaningful comp.
A six month timeframe before 2022 is too short to make a transnational full-season model work.
Australia needs to largely go its own way at pro level.
There is enough raw material and unharnessed financial muscle for the game to build from, plenty, in fact. But first and foremost domestic is the way ahead.
Across the Ta$man games added - absolutely, but you can't base a whole season on that now.

Yawn.
The more you play NZ teams the better you’ll get. Otherwise just become the 80s South Africa and play your Shute Shield and make up your own laws.
The negativity from Australian posters on forums is off the charts, yet you talk to Oz rugby fans in real life and they’re more than happy with a combined comp knowing that you’ll stagnate otherwise.

dont know if i have this right but if you take last round of aotearoa and tt and combine
table would look
highlander 33
blues 32
crusader 32
chiefs 31
hurricanes 31I think it's more relevant to take the full SRA and SRAU tables and add the SRTT points, and see how it looks for all ten teams. How would that look? I say more relevant because it's likely next year we'll have the same games, just intermingled, rather than two rounds of derbies then a cross over comp.

I wonder if all this draw/combining tables of two separate competitions would be discussed if the Crusaders hadn’t missed out. 😝
The Chiefs got a shit draw, but they knew what to do to be successful. They weren’t. Same with the other two teams who didn’t make the final.
