It’s pretty hard to tell, Cricinfo is pretty flash but given I can’t actually see anything I’ll have to shrug my shoulders.

A main weapon for Boults success historically has been swing.
Noticed in NZ and test in England he invariably bowls the ball with a scrambled seam. As a result lost swing.
Very noticeable yesterday. His wicket was a straight one on the stumps. England batters had no difficulty with Boult yesterday.Wagner, Southee, Henry, Jamieson all swinging it nicely due to good seam presentation.
This needs sorting ASAP

This needs sorting ASAP
He's definitely getting some swing, it's been noticeable in some spells, but it's been early swing which gets predictable fast against top batsmen. I think he's trying to mix it up with the scrambled seam where it can cut back the other way and catch batsmen off guard.

Yep. I chose a great day to be there. We all agreed in the end of day wrap after a solid days boozing on the terraces, that we had witnessed one of the great days in NZ cricket history.
The crowd quietened down a bit in the last session and the quality of the chants directed at us certainly lessened.
There seemed to be an air of confidence around our tailenders that I had not witnessed before. Both Patel and Henry looked good.

What we’d give for a guy like Chris Cairns to address the imbalance in the team currently……
If only there were a hard hitting all rounder with big match temperament and a Kiwi passport in the UK at the moment...
Or a hard hitting all-rounder with a big match temperament and a Kiwi passport who's actually eligible for us and has a good test batting record (but needs to improve his bowling average)....

Praise for this NZ side that is strong enough to have made six changes from Lord's and still mopped the floor with the home side. They came to Fortress Edgbaston yesterday and made it look like a bouncy castle... the only real question for this morning is how quickly England can be deflated and folded away, -
