2015/2016 Premier League

No way can Leicester lose it from here.

They have hardly lost all season, so it would be a monumental choke if they lost 2 or 3 games now. If/when they win Claudio can probably console himself that he has pulled of the greatest managerial feat this millennium.

Even though I'm a Spurs fan, I'd still be delighted for Leicester. A massive two fingers to all the big spending clubs who try to buy success. -

The best thing is, it's not like they are Steven Bardbury-ing their way to the title, they're on target for 82 points plus, which is a decent return, and only a little off the 86/87 points that seems to be the average for a win. They might still even get that total if they win a few on the way in.

-

Theoretically, Arsenal and Man City are still in the title fight. But realistically, it's between Spurs and Leicester. Basically, Tottenham have to win everything on the way in, and Leicester have to drop a few points.

It's highly plausible that Leicester win only 1 more game and still win the league.
-

As a Liverpool supporter I'd love to see Leicester win. Proof that a good manager doesn't require a massive cheque book.

-

Seems like a reasonably exciting night at Anfield this morning, and Liverpool are in the semis of the Europa, getting rid of the favourites.

Origi is really coming in to his own up front

-

I didn't get to see it but there seemed no way Liverpool could win that from 0-2 and then 1-3. Great result against everyone's pick as likely winners.

Meanwhile in the UCL, Barca are schooled by Athleti and Madrid has 50% of the semi-finalists with Munich and Manchester having the other 50%. City are having the sort of season Chelsea had when they won it - indifferent in the league but progressing in Europe.
-

Incredible match last night, 2-2 Leicester vs West Ham. Leicester were crusing at regulation 1-0 when Vardy was sent off for his second yellow on a clear dive. Everything changed for the last 30 minutes as Leicester tried to park the bus, and did well for 20 minutes until boom, dodgy penalty. Last 10 minutes of the match saw a cracking goal for WHU take the lead 2-1, a clear missed penalty by the ref, then an undeserved penalty given in the last 3 seconds of the match.

2-2. A true champions result.

Tottenham tough away match to Stoke tonight, if they get the 3 then it's 5 down with 4 to play, but if only get the draw or lose, then it's not far away from all she wrote ....
-

Arsenal cruised to a 1-1 v Palace which is handy because we are now in 4th and Liverpool may win Europa league and bump us out of Champions league next year which will be a hoot because of all the times I have laughed at other teams missing out due to winners auto qualification.

-

We won't win the Europa.

Fox Sports this morning trying to talk up the Leicester result. Drawing 2-all with the 6th placed side is not a bad result on the run in. They are still ensuring Spurs have to do an awful lot of winning on the run home (although that's what City did when <strike>Stevie G</strike> Liverpool fell over a couple of years back).
-

It deserves talking up if you ask me. Everton at home, Swansea at home (but no Vardy available for this one) and Man U and Chelsea away.

To be assured need 11 points from this. That's tough, although that's assuming Spurs win every game.
-

8 points isn't it? If Spurs keep winning, this could still go down to the final game.

And with the North-East bouncing back, the relegation battle has legs as well
-
Let me work that out ...

5 games (spurs yet to play tonight) x 3 possible points per game = 15.

Less 8 point lead = 7.

So yes Rage 8 points from 4 games.

If Spurs lose tonight...

4 x 3 = 12

Less 8 = 4

Plus 1 = 5.
(Or if Spurs draw 6)

Yes?

What happens if points are equal? Goal difference? -

Spurs didn't lose. Spurs looked ominious. No pressure Foxes!

5 points back with 4 games to play ... Looks like Vardy is going to have 2-3 games on the sideline too, so their main source of goals is unavailable.

Speed wobbles!
