NBA 2015/16 thread

WOW what an amazing comeback. Just when you think they are down, the splash brothers come up big!!

That is why they are the champions. But they still have to get it done in Game 7... what a match up. OKC the better team for 3.5 quarters but it wasn't enough, and they should have put GSW away far earlier in that game when they had the chance.

This is an incredible series, and it's sad that anyone has to lose.
-

KD fucked his team today. That is all......also Curry is not the best player on his team.....that really is all..

With five minutes to go OKC were in great position, just needed a bit more composure down the stretch. They didn't get the bench impact this game, and Russ drifted in and out of the game.

KD wasn't at his best but they still should have closed it out.

Curry wasn't at his best either, but the really good teams can do that. If the star has an off night, someone else steps up. Klay was incredible.

Though I actually thought watching Curry tonight was a bit like watching Tiger Woods in his prime. Tiger would sometimes have these off rounds, where it just wasn't going right for him, but would somehow stay in contention and be two shots back with five holes to go. And then his sheer force of will just took over, and the putts started to drop.

It was the same with Curry tonight. All over the place, but when the Championship minutes came around, he was nailing everything.
-

If they don't win the series this will damage the Thunder psychologically. Still, whatever doesn't kill you yada yada yada. Most of the other great teams went through this although OKC might argue they already have when they lost the finals a few years back, albeit with a different roster

Gutted. I am actually genuinely disappointed. I am not sure why I care so much about a bunch of American millionaires.

Fuck!

GSW are a bunch of fluffybunnies.
-

I just watched "Believeland" a 30 for 30 doco about the Cleveland curse. No pro sports championship since 1964, multiple times they looked on the verge of breaking the curse only to suffer terrible luck, or they made poor decisions that ended in tears. If OKC can't win it, as much as I don't really like LBJ, I'm happy for the Cavs to win it to put the sports fans of Cleveland out of their misery. They certainly will appreciate it more than anyone else

Just finished watching the game after avoiding the score all day. What a game aye.

Some of Klay's 3s were off the wall. Quick release, guy in his grill and from 2-3 feet beyond.

OKC (Westbrook) went into rush mode in the 4th. The Dubs upped the defensive pressure no doubt, but I thought OKC lacked composure and then it slipped away, very quickly.

Tough shooting night for the OKC duo. Combined 20-58 for KD and Russ. They forced some pretty tough ones down the stretch when they were still in control.

Massive game Tuesday, can't wait. -

Stevie comes out really aggressive, looking for his shots

-

Warriors have gone small early after they started Iggy for Barnes.

KD starting to get going now after not taking a shot in the first 6 minutes (very unusual).

Hooroo, not really all over them. Fairly even start. Both sides missed a few shots. Rebounding about even so far.
-

What a game. Intense as ever. OKC lead 48-42 at the half. Klay started to hit something in that 2nd quarter. He's the key man for the Warriors.

KD pretty quiet so far in terms of looking for his shot. He will no doubt come out in the 2nd half looking to be really aggressive. Russ playing a fair bit of iso and looked rushed on a number of his shots.
