I will have to watch St John's (Ham) play St Paul's next month as the former look to have a good team this year.

Shitty weather in Palmy but Hamilton BHS's defence won them the game. A big match against Rotorua next Sat.

@bovidae I think Hamilton and Rotura may be the two strongest teams in Super 8, with Napier and Hastings Boys completing the top 4 teams and able to cause an upset.

Seems a convincing win by Bedes over TBHS and now we have the same amount of wins as Jocks but they have a loss coming up next week vs CBHS while we have what should be a training run against one of the combined selections. Looks like seven teams have a decent chance of making the top four

Seems like all the comps are encouragingly even.

Even the usually recently lopsided North Harbour and Highlanders comps.

St Bedes at St Peter's on Wed. That will be a good indicator of the strength of both teams.

Big and surprising result this and now means we have 3 teams who have won 5 out of 7 but Westlake ahead by 4 points due to picking up 8 bonus points from 7 games

Yep it is. Havent seen either game unfortunately but looked like they could run away with things based on the first 5 games

Westlake should have beaten Manurewa last Sat but couldn't put them away. I posted the youtube video of the full game earlier in this thread. The Harbour 1A comp does seem to be very unpredictable.
