Brumbies
- Connal McInerney
Never heard of this guy which is strange as I presume he is another player from the Irish village of Tokoroa?

To compete against Brumbies/Crusaders you have to limit handling errors (for defending scrums) and limit penalties (for defending lineouts).
Tahs have done neither.
They went about 30 minutes with Berry not pinging the Brumbies once for offside - which they were at multiple rucks under the new interpretations.
The couple of scrum penalties against Angus Bell have been called from the sideline and I don't think Perrett is seeing that right. Brumbies have also walked 2 scrums around the corner and gotten away with it.
That last try sums up where the Tahs are at tho: we stopped them, got the "Use it once" call, and then stood up and went for the pill instead of shoving them back. Mentally poor.
The two Kiwi locks clearly got a whipping over their scrum work in Brisbane last week. A lot better today.

Great try! Good little chip kick from the centre.
Ikitau the Brumbies 13 looks the best 13 in Aus.

Overall, the Tahs improved quite a bit on last week - besides the ref having no idea about scrums, their set piece was solid, winning all their lineouts as well.
Some of the general play was better, but defensive alignment continues to be a problem. This is a mixture of the chasm in experience between the two sides, and the fact that the Ponies have been very settled while the Tahs' cupboard is bare.
Again: the back office fails to recruit properly or soberly, and we end up failing to develop players.

Not sure who's going for the wooden spoon, this season. Tahs or Force. I think the Rebels will be okay.
Rebels were looking OK last couple of years under Wessels but he never delivered on their potential. They're an injury or two away from rubbish.
