@chris Having seen/heard him talk during team trainings (on instagram), he could become an excellent coach.

It's a pity the NZ U20s don't get to play the Aussies. The Junior Wallabies' tight five were stronger and better than ours the last few years. I'd love to know how this crop of youngsters compares to theirs.

    Injury break for TK Howden.

Glad the Mako XV started playing well after the first 20 minutes. NZU20s have only been able to score one more try since then.

They won't learn a thing from playing sides that roll over too easily.

Good well-deserved try to Timoci Tavatavanaway for the Mako.

Hmmm, looked like a late tackle from Wrampling?

The Mako player not looking good. Can't see who it is. Has to be stretchered off.

Edit: It's Isaac Salmon. Leg or foot injury.

    Monu Moli comes on.

That U20 XV is very similar to the team that played the Harlequins, so likely their best side.

    How is Atu Moli going?

@bovidae Played the first half. Hard to say something about individual frontrowers with this stream, but I think he went okay. The Mako pack struggled a bit against the big NZU20s early in the game, but gradually came into the game more.

I see comments on the stream saying that the injured player is Kershaw Sykes-Martin (so not Salmon).

Great try from Gallagher. He, Lord, Evans and Fihaki have been the stand-outs for NZ U20s IMO.

I thought Segner was good when he came on as well.

@chris I missed quite a bit of the 2nd half, but saw some nice link play from him.

Really liked what I saw from Morgan at 10. Can see why the Canes have snapped him up - looks like a more natural 10 to me than Ruben Love.

@Stargazer i’m sure you would have loved that try scored by Lakai, setup by fellow Wellington players Morgan and Higgins in the second half…

TK Howden looks to have broken his arm which may rule him out of the NPC.
