Broncos season just gets better and better. Destroyed by a shit team like the Dragons
3 in a row and quoting myself...
So far this season, in the 13th round, the Broncos have played on Thursday or Friday night FTA primetime games 10 times
They have 1 win
They have 3 losses
They have 6 absolute beltingsIt defies belief that year after year this club gets kissed on the dick by the fixture list despite a decade of being absolutely nothing.

How is it possible in a league packed to the rafters with dogshit contracts matt Dufty doesn't have a contract for next year? He's a gun, and if we didn't have the kid i would happily pick him up for the Warriors
Broncos please... Jamane is better as a wing

Why the hell did the Warriors give Tevaga a new 2-year contract? A waste of space and a penalty magnet.
THEY WHAT?????
I hope it's for like $80,000
I know he isnt the most poular on here, because he can make some dumb plays, but often tops the tackle count in the middle when he is on and has a habit of getting more yardage than he should through teams always struggling to put him down first up. Nothing more than a bench forward in my mind but there is a reason he has won the bench forward award at the annuals before.

I actually saw some stats about him in comparison to other Warriors (who don’t cop as much shit) and he actually had less errors than a bunch of Warriors forwards.
I’ll try and remember where I saw them and post the link.

it's not just the error stats. He often dies with the ball in attack as well. Then on the flipside he'll overplay his hand given his ability
I've said before. he's a useful squadie because his effort is always huge. But he shouldn't be top 17 for a team with aspirations.

We are not far off in opinion, as I dont think he is a starting 13 player, but as a bench forward I do think he has value, especially his versality as a b grade Brandon Smith, who shouldnt be on the bench, but that is the Melbourne production line. I think he should be in the 17, just not starting, his stats actually show he is a better player than he often gets credit for.
As for Dufty.. I know Brisbane are trying to save money to get Hodgeson from the Raiders, but after letting Walsh go, Dufty looks like an easy pick up since you could probably low ball his offer, since all other top clubs have great fullbacks right now.
Looks like ruours have it SJ and Burton pairing at the dogs next year, if they went after Dufty they could also have a decent squad for a change, although a basket case club at the moment
-
@bayimports knock on Dufty is the errors that lead to tries. So yeah, you could get him for not much. And lets face it, anything is an upgrade on Isaaco
Dogs signing some quality backs, but they are going to do fuck all with the current pack in front of them

Having a middle forward that is smaller than RTS isn't right.
if he could play dummy half he might be worth something
funny you say that, Brown said Tevaga has to work on that part of his game as he expects him to play a B Smith role.

Origin eve. Teams are in Townsville (poor bastards). Every hotel room in the city is booked, some at outrageous prices. 27,000 seats are sold. 900 gigalitres of bundy has been brought in. it's go time.
standard pre-origin shit. Qld have injury and illness problems and are giving players to the last minute (yeah right). NSW are settled and sorted. One change is it's the Blues justifiably feeling like they have been stitched up, having the game moved from Melbourne to the middle of nowhere in Qld.
DCE calls for a gentlemans agreement not to milk for penalties. Everyone smiles and says "yeah Daly, great idea" while also practicing their best grimaces and chin rubs.
Laurie Daly hates it, and wants teams to go hard at each other, completely ignoring the last month of football, and all the directives that this game will be officiated the same. I for one cannot wait for the first forward to go hard at someone, slip off the ball and glance off the chin, and get sent for 10. I will also laugh my tits off if the promo pre-game is a montage of massive hits and fights, two things you are guaranteed not to see tomorrow night.
it will come as no surprise to hear that i miss violent Origin. I miss the big shots, the traditional feeling out period, and the fights. I know those days are gone for good, and i guess for the better too (i guess). But it was a lot of fun to watch. Shit there isn't even any decent banter before the game any more. It's becoming just another game of league.

I’m hoping they’ll at least thaw out Phil Gould for his standard pre origin shit talking session. That was always worth waiting for.
