Australia v India

Bloody hell Aussie cricket know how to do the cheese. That Big Show segment was tough watching.
-
Why don't they have the batting average in the stats they flash up
-
India’s late over batting and middle over bowling has been excellent and will likely win it for them with 2 overs to go and Oz needing 35
-
@Donsteppa it was a fairly humid night in Canberra last night and the pitch seemed to play a bit different to 2 nights ago for the final ODI. A lot of mistimed shots from both sides.
The thing I like about India in T20 is even when their backs are against the wall, they play as if they are going to win. That concussion sub was superb.
-
Interesting mix up between Smith and Wade. Wade hits one to Kohli, Kohli juggles and drops the catch. Smith had called a run and then mid pitch tells Wade to go back where he is left high and dry and Wade is run out.
Wade was on fire and Smith pretty new at the crease.
Wade is captain.
Cricket is not really a team sport...
-
Big finish here. India need 14 off the last over
-
Pandya is a beast.
India chase down the 195 with 2 balls to go.

Re: the discussion earlier in the thread about Will Pucovski; I just saw the replay during the T20 of him getting his ninth (!!) concussion earlier today at the age of 22.
From a rough tally of an older article, five of his concussions are from batting (plus one from playing Aussie Rules when he was younger, one from an accident at home, one from fielding, and one from "Completing a quick single, Pucovski’s bat jammed in the turf and his momentum threw him forward, landing heavily and hitting his head on the ground").
Nine concussions by the age of 22 would be high even by rugby standards. Hope we do see him at the top level given all the accounts of his batting, but not sure what they do about his technique against the short ball/freak accidents.
-
Didn't realise that about Pucovski. Hope he is OK.
However, he's been surpassed as the latest expected SUPERSTAR of Strayan Crucket.
Apparently this bloke Cameron Green is the next big thing.
Bats like Warner crossed with Maxwell and bowls like Lilley bred with McGrath.
Haven't seen much of him but want him to fail because hype ... but highlights of Aus A v One A suggest he might have some talent.
Fuck him.

That sounds like a recipe for disaster. What odds his concussion from the quick single etc. are a result of previous head knocks?

Might be more injury problems for the Aussies
Green bowling to Bumrah in the Indians v Aus A match. The ball gets hit straight back and smashes Green in the head. Really hard contact but he walked off ok.
This year everyone expected some new blood via Green and Pucovski. Both might be out with concussion

Justin Langer has declared Cameron Green will make his Test debut in Adelaide on Thursday as long as he has recovered fully from a concussion suffered while bowling at the SCG last Friday. The Australia coach said on Tuesday a final decision on who would open in the first Test against India not been made, although he ruled out any chance of Marnus Labuschagne being promoted to the top of the order. However, with the inclusion of Green it appears a middle order player will have to stand in as an opener and while he didn't confirm it would be Matthew Wade, Langer said the Tasmania captain would be able to handle the responsibility. Green's selection would mean either Joe Burns or Marcus Harris won't make the line-up at Adelaide Oval.
I presume it will be Wade to open with Harris? Burns is in terrible form.
The other left field name that was suggested as an opener was Paine. Wade makes more sense.

first test starts this arvo. Day/Night test should be fun.
Australia, for the top side in the world, have some serious issues. At this stage their opening bats look like being a converted keeper who averages 30, and a guy who dead set cannot buy a run.
They will be followed in by the guys expected to score the bulk of the runs (with some justification i might add, their records are ridiculous). The middle order is new or not great.
They are a team built on 4 fucking good bowlers, Smith, Loose Bus Change, and Warner (as long as the game is in Australia).
Right now, if an honest Trans Ta$man XI was put together, we are contributing a decent number of players.
