@voodoo definitely get that, but I’m a tragic and still love it. It’s the games within the game that I like. The games yesterday had a bit more feeling with the NBA cup starting.
That Hawks win against the Celtics was a fun watch too. Aussie Dyson Daniels is one of the best defensive guards in the league and he had a night out on the other end. Plus I love seeing Boston lose these days.
Then Spols doing a C Webb and calling a ghost timeout and losing the Heat the game at the very death. Crazy.
Well we both took an L today as the Celtics won shooting 46 3’s 🤮
That is below their game average too….
Averaging over 50 attempts per game this season. Coach Joe wants them right around there.
Some crazy numbers today:
Greek freak - 59 / 14 / 7
KAT - 46 and 10
Wemby - 50 piece
Jordan Poole - 42
Rookie Jared McCain got 38. 76ers Big 3 were out and he almost got the win against the Cavs.Cavs are now 13-0. Best all round backcourt so far this season.

See Stewart get ejected for the fragrant on the Freak? Shit like that would turn my hair grey if I were a coach or owner; imagine having your star get hurt from a fluffybunny play like that.
Agree, hate that shit
-
Classic Stewart though. Was dumb as it wasn’t even near the end where in a close-ish game you might see an obvious foul. And given how the game played out, they could’ve done with his size.

How much (how long) for this?
I was watching that game today and l it was a scrappy one. Plenty of frustration throughout from the Rockets, not so much at the ref but how the Blazers were making runs. This was the second of a back to back mini series between the teams and the Rockets won easy in the first game.
Fred will likely cop 5-10 games I reckon.
-
It will be interesting to see, actual contact with the ref in this manner, is a road I assume the NBA doesn't want others going down, so I reckon he eats a massive fine and gets more time off than that.

aaaaalllllmost halfway through the season.
Teams-wise, Cavs won the "top of the tables" clash yesterday in a game that actually looked like both teams cared., and thus sit top of the tree.
In the East its teh Cavs and the Celtics looking comfy at the top, Knicks bubbling just under, and then a whole lot of teams going nowhere.
The West is a shitfight. OKC are out front by a margin. Then a table pretty much no one would have predicted, Rockets and Grizz sitting nicely, Nuggets not looking complete despite the best player in the world having an unreal season, then like 7 teams hovering around .500 depending on their current draw.Underperformers? The Suns for sure. Probably the Sixers too (but fuck Embiid).

Player-wise surely Jokic is the MVP again (despite some wanting to give it to SGA).
He's leading the scoring. He's 3rd in rebounds. He's 2nd in assists. Effectively averaging a 31-point triple double. Incredible basketball player. And it wouldn't be the NBA without a bit of player drama. Shock horror Jimmy Butler is causing problems. Old man wants to continue to be paid large based on legacy i guess, which might work some places, but not in Miami against Pat Riley. So he got himself suspended. And it doesn't look like being solved quickly if he continues to demand trades to specific places. Word is the Suns, which would be hilarious TBF.

Suns are fucked as they need to get rid of Beal, who is the only other player than LBJ to have a no-trade clause. They were so fucking dumb to take on that contract in the first place.
I love Butler, but he's mad to think that he would get paid at Miami under Riley.

I’m giving it to SGA. His stats are amazing, second only to Joker, but I can’t overlook a 9 game win differential . He’s created such a great team there, they play for each other and he’s their clear leader. If they finish anywhere close to their current trajectory of 68 wins, he’s my pick

It’s a two horse race right now and I think it will come down to team records (even though I’m not entirely in on that being a major factor for this award).
If the Bucks make a big push then Giannis comes into the equation too because he is having a massive year also.

And Jimmy Butler is an egg.

Love that Giants has put the 3 away, less than 1 attempt per game now.
Think team record has to be a factor, you can’t miss the playoffs and still claim to be in the race - an individual player has a huge influence on a team so being top 4 in your conference is a must for me

Very good game between the Grizzlies and Rockets, two of the better teams in the West.
Adams played some very good minutes. His screen setting and passing created space and opportunities. Got half a dozen O boards too.
Both of these teams play pretty good D which should hold them in good stead for a run to the playoffs.
