On Morant, you could see it bubbling last year and with all the hangers on, the bravado, notoriety and money, just seemed inevitable.
They have a very good record, but it’s going to be a dog fight in the West from positions 2-12.

If they had this team healthy for all 82 games they'd be title contenders. Vanderbilt, Schroder and Reaves have all massively surprised to the upside.

@TeWaio backup centre is still a big problem. Gabriel doesn’t put them in playoff/contender territory. If they still had Bryant perhaps but they wouldn’t have been able to fit a couple of the other nice pieces they got at the trade deadline.

The West is that fucking tight that every win and loss counts now. 3 win difference between finishing top 4 and missing the play-in.
The lakers and the Thunder will be happy that Dallas have completely imploded.

Getting rid of Finney-Smith will prove to be the Mavs downfall. Sure he wasn’t averaging big numbers but it was his play on the defensive end and more importantly his attitude which is sorely lacking.
As amazing as Kyrie is on the offensive end, players like Brunson and Dinwiddie are better fits for how Luka plays.
Luka is a diva no doubt about it, damn talented but is high maintenance because Kidd wants to play a certain way but Luka’s style is not right for it.

I do sort of get why too. For me in Dallas Brunson isn’t a $25+ mill a season player. At the Knicks he is because he gets to do and also has to do so much more.
I think the biggest mystery is the whole handling of Christian Wood.
