Suns have a good lead 48 - 29 at the moment. Durant back in and trying to influence things. Great slam just then PHX
Nets with a sloppy start and then expended a lot of energy getting back into it, then faded. Suns on an excellent run.
-
@act-crusader Good summation. Nets had KD, Harden, Aldridge and Millsap so some quality cattle and the Suns had come off a game the night before against NY. Great win. You could see there was some feeling.
Now the Suns play Golden State in a big match-up of the two best records in the league. The Nets are the best in the East but 3.5 games behind these two.

so we're effectively a quarter of teh way through the season. And yet it's still too early to read anything in to anything because, well, there's still 60 games to go
Warriors, and most especially Curry are balling. And they are doing it while waiting for Klay to come back. If he is80% of what he was they are serious.
The Suns have won 16-straight. Last years finalists are looking very good to have another go at it.
Those two teams look a mile in front of every other Western side. And the rest is looking average. For the first time in a fair while, you don't have to have a winning record to be in the 8.
It's starting to look a little like the Lakers aren't just cruising until the playoffs. They've had an easy start, and their record stinks. In the East the Nets are top, but hardly looking great. KD still killing it, but Harden is playing average, Kyrie is a lunatic on holiday, and the rest of the vets they signed are having to do too much
Bucks are climbing the ladder after a poor start.
The Heat, Wizards and Bulls are all far better than expected. Hornets continuing last year's trajectory.
You have to get to 12th before you find a losing record in the EastBut, for all that tying, it probably doesn't mean shit, and the Nets will play the Lakers in the finals

@mariner4life looking forward to Klay and Wiseman coming back for the Warriors. Wiseman for a big has good feet and movement which is important defensively on the switches.
Both of them have now been sent to the G league to get some playing minutes into them.
-
@mariner4life Yep, Nets vs Lakers for sure. Just like last year.
-
Steph is on 50/40/90 watch.
Steph has played in 19 of the 20 Warriors games this season and he’s averaging:
-
28.6 points per game
-
5.8 rebounds per game
-
6.8 assists per game
-
1.6 steals per game
-
54.6% for 2point FGs
-
42.3% for 3point FGs
-
94.2% for Free Throws
-
13.1 3point FG attempts per game

@act-crusader Super impressive, that's for sure. I've never been a fan, but I'm coming around.

@shark said in NBA Season - now 21/22:
Phoenix shut Curry down today to win the 17th straight. And without Book for most of the game.
Real defensive type of game. Good effort by the Suns at throwing longer bodies and double teams at Steph.
Looking forward to Saturday’s return game in Oakland.

good game, crowd was popping, felt a bit like the occasion demanded. Two best teams in the comp right now

oof
Memphis 152 - 79 OKC
Yes OKC rested a couple, but Memphis was sans Morant.
That's an epic bet down

I’ve seen some 40 point and 50 point wins, but a 73 point win. That was ridiculous. These no name bench guys for the Grizzlies getting career highs 😃

Dame Lillard did an AMA on reddit and it's pretty good. Some great answers to some good questions. Loved the "welcome to the NBA moment" question
-
Warriors break the Suns streak with the return game.
How good is the ‘Mitten’? Man he’s got some bounce.
-
Back to earth with a thud with that loss. Had to happen sooner rather than later and an away game against the best team in the NBA when missing arguably your best player and having just motivated them by having beaten them a few days before is probably the perfect storm.
-
@shark add to that the Suns were in a back to back game.
Warriors were outplayed for 90% of todays game against the Spurs in their back to back. The Warriors were down by 20+ at one stage. They made a fantastic run in the 4th quarter but Spurs held on.
-
I can't believe how close that got
Murray is really good and our future.
How to beat the warriors? Catch them on a back-to-back having played the 2nd best team in the comp twice in a week
