NBA Season - now 24/25
-
I honestly feel like Spurs play an OT game every week.
-
LAL in real trouble. LBJ and A are not fit, Kuzma and many of the supporting cast are banged up too. They are looking like a first round exit (assuming they survive a potential play in), the strain of the short turnaround from the bubble season is showing

And very down on personnel today too against a fully fit 76ers side that had all their key guys.
Lonnie and Keldon played damn well. And the other Luka showed some signs. Shame they couldn’t win.
The Bucks v Nets game definitely had a playoff feel to it. The big name players balling out. Huge numbers from the superstars. Defensive intensity. Fun to watch.

Did anyone predict the Suns would have the best record in the NBA, unless they were 1-0 after day one??

Yeah, for the moment!
The Crusaders will - or at least really should - take out SRA and SRTT. Do I think the others can win their respective competitions? The Dees yes, but the Suns don't have the experience to make a deep, deep run. They need one more All Star or fringe All Star level player this year to get past the Nets who I think are lock down finals reps for the East.
-
@shark I'm not writing any one off just yet. Every single team seems to have some weakness they need to overcome.
The Lakers are cooked because Steph is gonna bounce them in the play-in (hence LeBron's tweet)...
The Nets are losing enough games, and having enough issues getting people healthy, to give the teams playing them enough belief they can win
The Lakers are really battling, have their two main players struggling after injury breaks, and seem to be hoping it all clicks come playoff time.
Behind both of them are a bunch of teams like the Suns, who don't seem like they have all the parts, but what they have just might be enough this year. The playoff should be great. -
Bucks beat the Nets again, and they'll be feeling good about their impending play-offs series
-
so something that completely passed me by
Cam Oliver is playing for the Rockets. Got 19 minutes yesterday, 13 points and 3 rebounds
I guess that's the last we've seen of him then...

The Suns look like entering the playoffs on the back of a real bed-shitting. Dropped something like three of the last four.
They're just making sure they stay in 2nd, and hoping Lakers climb to 6th. That way they get Portland/GSW (maybe Dallas which isn't so good)
-
@shark there's some jostling going on for sure. The harder question is if you're the Lakers - do you aim for 3rd and a match up with the Clippers in R1, or do you take your chances in the play-in, to secure a series against either Utah or your Suns???
-
@gt12 ha ha
I was all-in on Denver this year, had a decent bet and loved their game. But that's all over.
I dont know who to support now. I don't like Utah, nor the Suns. Hate the Clippers. Think I'm Dallar or GSW in the West.
In the East, maybe Miami, maybe the Knicks!
Ah fck it, go Lakers!
-
Fuck that, fuck the Lakers. Really.
Become a Mavs supporter! You’re used to supporting shit teams, you’ll fit right in.
I’m really looking forward to the play-in, and although I would also say ‘fuck the Warriors’, I’m looking forward to seeing whether Stephen can single-handedly fuck up another teams season.
Same for the Wizards if they can sneak in.

I love Dallas, I'm a big fan of Luka though I wish he'd stop the fucking whinging
Why so much hate for the Lakers?

Just like Crusaders hate.... Just watched the Lakers escape NYK with a win in OT. That had playoff intensity, the Knicks couldn't get good shots late, but they showed they will be dangerous in the playoffs
-
I’ve never been a Lakers fan either even though I like Byron Scott as a player, loved watching Kobe, and don’t mind the Lakers version of LBJ.
A 7/8 play-in match up between the Lakers and GSW will be fun to watch.
