Coming into the game, the Americans had been 54-2 in exhibition games since professionals started playing in 1992. Nine years ago, they beat Nigeria by 83 points in the London Olympics. Five years ago, Team USA beat Nigeria by 43 points in an exhibition.
Aussies have one of those two.
As for the game itself, it had the intensity of a glorified shoot around. Didn’t even match the intensity of one of those playground pick up games that the pros play.
-
Aussies had a buzzer beater win (by Patty Mills) against the Argies. Both teams with plenty of NBA players.
-
Good start for the Bucks. Up 60-45 at HT. Phoenix struggling on the 3 ball. Better perimeter D from the Bucks though. Jrue picking up CP3 full court.
Middleton far more involved in the offence. When they run a high pick for him, he is making good plays.
Second unit for Phoenix were a little exposed in a big run by the Bucks.
-
Giannis and Holiday having big 3rd quarters
-
Cool story. Craig will get a ring, regardless of who wins.

@bovidae lol. You mean the journey from Cairns, who took him straight from college.
They do mention the Taipans, if you read the article.....

CP3 making an early bid for FMVP
I think this is a lock now and the series is over. Momentum is too strong, Suns in 4 or 5. Sir Charles will be happy!
So this was a fantastic take

Game 5 in 5 hours. Huge pressure on the Suns to win at home and give themselves a chance to win in six games away in a few days. I don't think there's much pressure on Milwaukee because I feel like they're expected to lose this and then win at home. So it's a bonus game for them, much like a game six at 3-2 in Milwaukee would be for the Suns.

The more I think about it the more this game worries me. The Bucks can just come out and play. They have momentum - such as it is in basketball - and aren't expected to win. Picking up the W today means they go home with a chance to clinch the title. Its the same scenario for game six if Phoenix win today. They can just go to Milwaukee and play, knowing the worst that can happen is they play a game 7 at home.
