Anybody else concerned with what seemed to be music between each over at Seddon Park?
I'll join you on that hill
Seriously, though, I get it for T20 and maaaaybe sometimes in ODI. But people go to tests because they love Cricket. Don't blast music, provide a differentiating experience.
I don't even get it for T20. I went to NZ v India a couple of years back and it was sold out. Atmosphere was absolutely electric. Then a boundary would get hit, music would blare out, and the atmosphere would be killed dead for a while. It objectively ruins the experience of going to a live sporting event in a full stadium.

We love Wags ๐
Gosh heโs good. He might take Boults spot in my all time XI if heโs not careful.

Worth considering if he keeps going. Go to have someone that can take wickets on a dead pitch with an older ball and our spinners are shit. Not sure that Trent would miss out though...

there's the rub. He's more likely to take Dan's spot than Boult's
even then...
Wags is an honest trier who gets wickets with persistence. Love him, he's a fucking hero. But one of our best ever?

@mariner4life the stats say yes

@mariner4life who troubled the best batsman inn the world last year, in his home conditions? The Wags.
Dead. Set. Legend.

yes. but it's a damning statement when the dude bowling 130km bouncers at guys for 15 overs straight is in our all time best attack.

@mariner4life nobody is confusing the Black Cap All Time XI with the Aussies.

That's what I love about him. Put him in bad conditions and he will make something happen using pure will

Maybe the best ever 3rd seamer.
He is quite unique, as usually you get promoted eventually and start taking new ball (like Garner, the next best. Or assume Cummins will eventually do more). Instead Wagner got rewarded by being given an even older ball and demoted below even CdG's wobblers since 2016.
Stats even more impressive if you strip it down to 4th seamers:

He never complains, is fueled by his perpetual font of rage directed at the batsmen. His performances on the sub continent, putting in long shifts in the heat, are Herculean

Living in Australia has obviously made you forget your homeland and the complete and utter dearth of genuinely world class fast bowlers ( or cricketers full stop )
