No Fletcher Smith in the 23. Mitch Jacobson still a long-term injury.
Waaka will have to play a lot better, particularly his positional play.
-
-
The final changes to the starting XV are to the outside backs. Patrick Osborne returns to the left wing with Gideon Wrampling moving back to the reserves. Beaudein Waaka and Liam Coombes-Fabling swap positions from right wing to fullback.
-
I really wanna see Rivez tear it up a bit but he's a bit green.
-
1 Jordan Lay, 2 Kurt Eklund, 3 Jeff Thwaites, 4 Stan Van Den Hoven, 5 Kane Le'auppe, 6 Joe Johnston, 7 Mitchell Karpik, 8 Sam Dickson, 9 Luke Campbell, 10 Otere Black (c), 11 Joe Webber, 12 Chase Tiatia, 13 Matthew Skipwith Garland, 14 Emoni Narawa, 15 Kaleb Trask

-
Mewett back so BOP pretty much full strength. Waikato missing a few first stringers. This should be close. I will head across to FMG
-
Bay off their feet for that turnover before the try
-
Great work from Narawa to set up that try
-
Deliberate knock down?
-
How short was that penalty advantage?
-
Good charge down.
-
This ref is playing short advantages both ways.
-
Somewhat ironic these days that the smaller grounds tend to look better on TV given the smaller crowds.
-
Down by 14 points and they take the shot?
-
@Yeetyaah as long as he is consistent with it, it shouldn't matter
-
Nice try. Waikato are fucking garbage.
-
Lmao Tupaea gets an easy try
-
Poor tackle attempt there.
-
Lmao Patrick Osborne shouldn't be anywhere near a starting line up.
-
Narawa having one of his better games this season.
-
Another strong game from Trask
-
Finally some phases get Waikato a try.
-
Steamers doing our classic 2020 thing of switching on and off throughout the half
-
Not quite sure about the very top 5% of our fitness and conditioning this season. When the sun’s out, if the opposition puts a few phases together, we are usually the team that fades around the park first. Usually shows up in D and in the penalty count.
-
Needless penalty count rises once more
-
@Donsteppa said in Waikato v Bay of Plenty:

Rinse and repeat.
-
What a ball
-
27 unanswered points for Waikato.
The Bay really need to score next.
-
There we go. Nice try.
-
Much better
-
Narawa looking much better this week
-
Our first one or two supporting forwards seem to end up off our feet, while Waikato keep theirs and nick the ball/penalty
-
Gah! Evil bounce
-
That would've been a sweet try if Narawa collected that.
-
Another silly penalty giving away good field position
-
Ref missed a knock on in that turnover.
-
Has Taukei'aho's throwing improved?
-
Bay need to make this count.
