NFL 2015

The Cleveland Browns have signed RGIII to a 2 year deal so it looks like they won't be drafting a QB in the first round (but target someone like Connor Cook or Vernon Adams in the later rounds). However the 49ers will (probably) take a QB with their pick (either Goff or Wentz) and trade Kap to the Broncos who are now desperate for a QB.

The Patriots are making some moves on the offensive side..

The Patriots picked up Chris Hogan and a tight end Martellus Bennett.

Now they signed Nate Washington, a wideout who could potentially be a deep threat.. With the dual tight end threat, plus slot receivers.. It's looking dangerous with a wideout who can catch the ball.. The question will be whether the o-line can offer any protection after they got beat up by the broncos
-

Pats still need a decent running game but the Bennett/Gronk duo will scare defences and enthrall fantasy football fans. Chris Hogan....pfft.
-

Adam Schefter, who is usually never wrong, says the 49ers and Broncos have agreed in principle to a trade deal involving CKap. Means Gabbert will be the starting QB for the 49ers this season and their first draft pick will be a QB - either Goff or Wentz.

Big shock this week - The Los Angeles Rams (formerly of St Louis) traded for the number one pick. Tennessee gets a swagger of picks, Rams will select a QB (Goff or Wentz) and it has huge ramifications for several teams - notably San Fran, Philly and Denver.

The 49ers are picking 7th so, unless they choose to move up, will probably miss Wentz (most assume Goff will be LA's choice). So this means they don't trade CKap to Denver which means Denver might have to move up to grab lesser noted QB Dak Prescott, because teams like NY Jets and Buffalo will take an interest now there is a run on the QB stock. Or it means that Denver gives in and offers more for CKap. Philadelphia was hoping to grab either Wentz or Goff with their 8th pick but are now stuck with Sam Bradford, so will probably wait until next year to choose a QB.

Big winners here might be Dallas and Cleveland who can use their position in the draft (4th and 2nd) to grab more picks.
-

That is an impressive haul the Titans got for trading the number 1 pick. This draft is noted to be void of superstars, but has lots of good players deep in the draft. It's a great draft to accumulate picks, especially if you have lots of gaps in your roster like the Titans.

Philly bite, trade a bunch of high picks (including this year's 8th overall pick and next year's first round pick) to Cleveland for the 2nd overall pick in the draft!

This means Bradford gets $22 million for holding a clipboard, Philly draft either Wentz or Goff as their starting QB, RGIII is the starter in Cleveland, and CKap stays in San Francisco unless Denver bites and offers what the 49ers want.

And the QB class this year isn't even that great....
-

Draft day and LA is on the clock....money on Jared Goff being the first pick overall. Reminds me of Alex Smith so probably not a bad pick by LA (as long as they stick with the same coaching plan unlike San Francisco did).
