My Latest All Blacks Quiz
-

Fuck. Why did I put DC in there! Quiz amended immediately and I will accept Marist from here on in.

Acronyms also accepted in case of Conrad and Piri.

Proofreader has been defenestrated.
-

By the way I am a Catholic with a University degree so nothing against either set of clubs!

-

I did the same as Nepia and Chris B with my club guesses. Cruden's club is harder to pick than DC's.

-

Before posting new quiz for today, may as well post a related archive one in case anyone didn't get to do it. All about droppies today.

75% and 33%

100% and 56%.

I looked this up for the ABs in the last couple of years so I knew the really hard one.

I had a fair idea who the Frenchman would be, but no chance of remembering his name - let alone spelling it.
Pretty sure it was him who missed a whole heap against us - four or five in one test?
-

6/10 for the international one. I've never heard of the Italian guy.

-

7/8 and 3/9

-

7/8 for the ABs and 7/9 for the internationals. I spelt the Frenchie correctly. I missed the two with 17.

-

Mid 80s I think it was, we won by 1 point I think and he missed several dropped goal attempts.

Would have 1984. Aussies missed two late in the third test as well (in the series that followed). I think Dalton made some comment about having sunburn on the roof of his mouth watching the droppies fly over his head.

Anyway I missed the Frog as I didn't realise he'd been around long enough to kick that many. And I remembered missing so many...

Did try Monsieur Le Drop ... but ironically he wasn't on the list. -

Most tests by age 22

I won't do an international quiz on this one, however George North played 52 tests aged 22 or younger, whereas our top guy got 30. What an achievement that is.
-

7/12

-

10/12. I can't believe I forgot about the player at the top of the list. :idiot2:

-

9/12 - missed 2@21 and 1@20.

-

11/12

Don't think I would have got that one guy even if I had another 10 minutes.
There was 8 years difference between him and Bunce? Did not know that!
-

yeah, if that guys doesn't succumb to his concusion issues, he could break some records that's for sure.
-

Nailed it with 34 seconds left. There was a heck of a lot of guessing going on.

-

10/12

I missed two of the most obvious ones:
Wilson and Kirwan.
-

All Blacks RWC Final starters.

http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/83115/new-zealand-rugby-all-blacks-started-a-world-cup-final

This is a sort of a penance for the inexcusable error I made in the club quiz the other day!
-

100% with 1:32 left.

-

100% 49 sec left

-

100% 41 seconds left.

Had a slight mental block over our 2011 wingers surname!!!

Otherwise 1995 was a bit more difficult to remember - the props and blindside took a few seconds each.
-

1:38 seconds left. That was pretty easy, although at the outset I thought I wouldn't have enough time such are my cabbage typing skills.

-
18s left. But was restricted by typing speed on the phone and was interrupted by mrs boo bringing breakfast. Made one error on the 1995 fullback as I picked the guy who debuted in 96 before realizing my mistake. Otherwise easy enough to go through by position.
-

Average score so far for that quiz is a lot higher than normal, but to be expected of course.

-

Today's quiz. Kel Tremain award winners.

17/21 81%

-

19/21. I wouldn't have thought of 2001 or 2007 in another 4 mins.
I am surprised that only 2 of the centurions have won this award.
-

17
I'm surprised no halfbacks. Missed the same 2 as Bovidae and never would have got them - plus Jacko and Kronfeld - shoulda got Josh at least.
-

Tomorrow will be doing the Tom French Cup. Has been awarded for Donkey's years, but the guys on the list are for the most part household names so am going to put it up anyway.
Lescaboura.
I was a that game in Christchurch if we are talking the same one. Hewie pulled off an intercept that would have been a certain try to the French. Great game. -

Spoilers please Broughie. Please don't give the answers. -

90% - I missed 2007 and 2008.

-

Tom French Cup winners. A real who's who of Maori rugby here.

http://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/83115/new-zealand-rugby-maori-player-of-the-year
-

33%

Good quiz that one.

I was really solid from 1960-1977 - only missed two and one guy I'd never heard of.

Terrible in the 50s - fluked one.

And terrible from 1996-2010 - should have got most of them, but got hardly any.
-

Have been wanting to do a Maori related quiz for ages but have had problems accessing the stats. About the only one I could do, but it is a real who's who of Maori rugby,

-
43%

Some obvious misses.

Late 60s to mid 70s was my first guess ...
