43 from memory played some club rugby in Wellington which is why I remember him.

Suspect he may have played for Norths.

Today's one inspired by Toby Robson's article in the Dom Post re an outstanding servant for NZ rugby.

Maybe easy this one. Played 50 tests and attended a Catholic High School

6 out of 7 for the Manu Samoa quiz as well. I didn't know 43 and after checking the other names I typed in have between 30 and 40 tests.

I got the Mickey quiz eventually, once I knew where Liston College is. :idiot2:

Shit, not for me. I don't even know where most of those schools are, nor who the doolans are. Nonetheless I floundered Sacred Heart and Liston.

No idea where Liston College is or who that player is - I got flummoxed on the Hato Petera one before remembering the player isn't actually Maori.

Top All Black producing schools would be a doozie.

Information is not readily available though without trawling through almanacs though I feel.

Would be nice if someone who had access to the old rugby museum database could run a quick query.....

Rugby Museum has a database but it is not summarised so you need to scroll through the list.

Hat-trick or better against the All Blacks. Very short list this one. Two of the three were done at Eden Park from memory.

You probably either know the answers or don't. Perhaps 2004 is the hardest to remember (or easiest to forget).

Funny thing is too, I suspect the 3 guys on the list didn't actually score all that many tries in their careers.

1981 obviously didn't play too many tests due to Apartheid era boycotts.

Same for me. The 2004 one was easy, it was around 2006 when all the tests started blending into one for me.
