Some interesting names in these teams. Two halfbacks playing 1st 5 for H-K and TV.

I see one of the schoolboy superstar s signed by Wellington a couple of years ago is now turning out as the halfback for Thames Valley this weekend. Darren Larsen is certainly earning his paycheck!

Next week, East Coast plays Buller at home. They could finally get a win. They haven't won a game since 2013.

@kiwiwomble East Coast hasn't won a game since 2013; by the looks of it, NZR/NPEC/Hosea Gear is trying very hard to change that. They're definitely playing better this year, but still waiting for that win.

It looks like Faifili Levave might be playing for East Coast too.

Hosea must be calling in some favours. EC have been close in a couple of high-scoring games this season.

King Country lineup could be a noteworthy one for this weekend against Poverty Bay, too.

King Country lineup v Poverty Bay confirmed.

Aarin Dunster will play his first game for the province since 2017, and his son Cruise in the lineup too.

This will make just the third time a father and son have appeared in the same NZ first-class match.

Aarin's nephew Maximus is the lineup, too.
