@bobily2 its a tear rather than rupture, my rupture was given 12 months for full recovery so would have thought a tear was faster?
Yea, I didn't make that distinction when reading it. From what I've heard Handre Pollard is looking at over 6/7 months overall recovery time for his tear that occurred late-ish last year. I think Fakatava would likely be out of the NPC then, either way.
I think the stuff article suggested he'd be out for 9 months to a year, but they might not have made the distinction either

good news

@akan004 And that's not counting Nehe Milner-Skudder and Solomon Alaimalo, and Koroi being with the AB7s.
(Renton has been a good replacement they've brought in though, and they have Makene and Fomai as decent additions to the squad, too.)

If I read this article correctly, MMT will be out for SR T-T, but may be back for NPC.
-
how well was MMT playing this season? Is he a future possible AB 8?
-
@nostrildamus He has had limited game time this season, due to injury and the "party at Josh Ioane's", but my impression was that he had a reasonably quiet season, just like Sotutu. Not bad at all, but also not standing out positively like last year. Unfortunately, his injury has prevented him from stepping up as the season progressed and he won't play SR T-T, so we'll have to wait and see how he goes in NPC. I'm convinced he has ABs potential, but obviously, he still has to show it consistently on the field. Fortunately, they only signed Himeno for one season, so hopefully he'll get plenty of opportunities in the 8 jersey next season. I suspect he'll play at 6 for the Magpies again, with Devan Flanders preferred at 8.

the way he has played you would expect they will be trying to extend that...although I dont think he shoulda been here in the first place, but thats another story.

Have they confirmed they wonβt extend? This is why Iβm not a fan of foreign players - it takes away opportunities for NZ players to get better

more than happy to extend Himeno, a bit of competition is good
gutted we're playing in queenstown, was hoping to see them in Melbourne
