NFL Free Agency is underway.
A few notable headlines so far:
Derek Carr is the new Saints QB
Jimmy G is the new Raiders QB
Broncos looking to shore up their offensive line under Sean Payton with two new signings
49ers make a splash on the defensive line snagging DT Hargrave from the Eagles
Dolphins trade for cornerback Jalen Ramsay

49ers pick up Sam Darnold as a back up for Lance and Purdy. Probably a good move for Sam if he wants to improve enough to one day return as a starting QB in the league

Yep makes sense. Darnold gets a chance to rehab his career and 49ers get another QB with starting experience which they'll likely need given how their QBs get injured (and that's assuming Purdy's recovery goes to plan and he makes it back for Week 1).
Meanwhile Darnold's old team the Panthers have traded up to the number 1 pick in the Draft which also makes sense - they need a QB and their aggressive owner is sick of waiting.

@Bovidae at long bloody last.
Anyone know what Gamepass will look like in NZ this season? I'm seriously looking at buying it and going deep down an NFL rabbit hole. THey're changing up, but not sure of pricing/availaiblity - previously we've had massivlye discounted and then discounted access.

Bit happening in the NFL today.
Lamar Jackson finally signed his big money deal with the Ravens.
The first round of the Draft is over. 3 QBs picked in the top 4.
Eagles will get strong grades for snagging two star defensive players but time will tell.

They've launched information on their website now.
It looks very pricey this year - I might hold off this year - they often do mid season discounts (or at least they used to).

I'm trying to use DAZN at the moment.
It's a disaster. TV app on Samsung continually buffers. No casting options from Android or Desktop at the moment. THeir help function is worse than useless
And, they've just advised you can't cast - they don't support chromecast. FFS. It took 20 minutes of painful discussion with someone who couldn't read or listen - there's a Fern poster joke in there somewhere.
-
Update: streaming is a ballache. I have gigabit fibre, and the stream veers between 180Mbps and 1 Mbps. The support is useless.
Have tried hardwired as well, and similar issues. It's really weird. I don't have this issue with other streaming services ...doesn't bode well for the season -
Confirmed. Washington sells for $6 billion USD.
Washington get a new owner. Experienced owner who has ownership involvement in the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils.
Great news for Washington fans and the NFL. A sleeping giant franchise with a great history might have just awoken with their awful previous owner now gone.

First thing to do is change that terrible name

Team up with the other D.C. perhaps
Although a losing season could come back to bite them
