box score is nuts
Jackson runs for nearly as many yards as he passes, and twice as many touchdowns.
-
@mariner4life Jackson was out with a leg injury in the second half - came back in on a must convert 4th down.
-
remember 3 weeks ago when the Steelers were going 16-0?
They are losing to the Bengals in what looks a shit game. The Driver summary is 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out.

I'm watchign - it's entertaiing. Bengals just so committed physically, it's a grudge match. NFL does this better than most, just remarkable
-
@mariner4life Bengals up by 10 and win the game with a few seconds left.
11-2 just lost to 2-10-1 team. Wow.

Farcical scenes in the NFC today.
Bears get smashed but make the playoffs cos Cardinals also lost.
Meanwhile Eagles pull the most blatant tank job on prime time - benching their QB in the 4th Quarter only down 3 points to put in their backup who is legitimately awful meaning Washington win the division and make the playoffs and the Giants miss out.

My Eagles doing their bit for the good of the game ๐

NFC east being so terrible means that the bucs are probably pretty happy to have got through on a wildcard. Seattle on the other hand gets to host the Rams. Playing at home is great (and the Rams are a bit all over the show) but Washington are clearly the worst team in the playoffs.

And only one of the Bucs' 11 wins has come against a team with a +0.500 record (Packers back in week 6).

Jags sack Marrone

Gase gone too. Good riddance to a guy that might be the worst nfl head coach of all time.
So vacancies at the moment are chargers, texans, Falcons, lions, jets and jags.
Chargers are pretty easily the pick of that crop.
Texans have the most important position covered but a god awful cap situation and almost no draft capital.
Jags and Jets have cap space and draft picks to burn but no talent. The jags can have Lawrence but also have an owner playing gm which might make hcs nervous. Jets ownership is awful too but at the moment are making the right noises about backing off to let Joe Douglas run things.
The Falcons have a terrible cap situation and have to make a call on Ryan. Lions similar with Stafford. Both guys look like classic trap qbs; they're not good enough to win games themselves and too expensive to build competitive rosters around.

@Cyclops if Eric Bieniemy doesn't get a HC job offer it will be a crime
I'm a bit meh on him to be honest. Really hard to say what is him, what is Reid and what is the talent on the field. I don't know much about him but supposedly there is some off field stuff that might turn teams off but I've only seen articles allude to it, never talk about it outright.
I don't love the trend of hiring the hot coordinator. Head coach is a massively different job and the skills are quiet different. I think the ideal hire is someone with experience as an nfl coordinator and running a show either an college or nfl level. Hard to find the former, and hc's at nfl generally only shake loose because they're not doing well.
All that said, everyone has to start somewhere and the interview process will hopefully weed out the guys who are going to spend all their time gameplanning one side of the ball and not doing any of the other work a hc needs to do.

As a Cowboys fan I have no sympathy for the NYG, especially after they beat us today. The NFC East really sucks now.
And now 7-9 Washington hosts the 11-5 Tampa Bay...
Joe Judge having a massive cry with his cryptic โitโs about the sacrificeโ makes it even sweeter ๐
Hey Joe, your team went 6-10, win more games...

Derrick Henry introduces himself to Josh Norman. A thing of beauty
And Derrick Henry becomes only the 8th player in history to rush for more than 2,000 yards.
He's some kind of running back. At 27, he'll just be hitting his prime right now which is scary.
