    Isn't that half the stadium?

    Ouch

I think that conclusively claims underdog status

1996 figures heavily in those stats.

    One of the losses
    Lowest for
    Highest against
    Worst loss margin
    Worst losing streak (with 1998).

@Duluth Crikey - there would be half a dozen red cards from that excerpt these days - probably starting with the tackle on Dempster. 🙂

The softer the game becomes the better the Crusaders do

Love that the rugby was actually second in coverage to the fights.

    Ahhh the days of yore.

Hard men, regardless of size, fighting. Sometimes for possession of the ball.

Canterbury certainly has the most feral supporters that I have been to (Never been to Caketin for Rugby)

Wouldn't love wearing a Blues jersey this weekend, which is pretty sad really as Rugby shouldn't have the dross that football has

    Nice kid.

Loftus is pretty parochial but all I got was "you're brave" comments in my Blues shirt many years ago. Was fun.

@Hooroo i've been there in a Blues jersey in the awful 2012 season when Pat Lam was a dead man walking. Blues got absolutely pumped by 50.

There were plenty of meathead types with unoriginal banter but I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable in any way. If you were into the rums and looking for a fight then it could be a different story.

I've never had that going to Eden park, Rugby Park (Southland) or Albany wearing a Waikato shirt. Only Canterbury where you get the mindless dross.
