They have released a lot of videos on the allblacks.com youtube channel this week.
There is also a new article about the trophies for the North-South game.

Cheers. Just doesn't seem to be catching much traction in the MSM.
While I understand the reasoning behind the selection criteria, I also think it has negated the opportunity to talk up the Island vs Island aspect and create stories -

NZRU not doing much media around this. News has been quite slim surprisingly
yeah, have to admit you can really see the difference in other countries with these "big events", they make a huge spectacle i assume to try and catch more casual fans
for this game it see a bit "hey guys we've got another game on this weekend....check it out"

smith not starting the only surprise for me

North by a thousand
i got a pretty decent rugby chubb just on the starting loose forwards alone.

Is this a case of the AB selectors knowing he is good at 13 but with Reiko coming into the picture want to have both ALB and Goodhue as 12 options?
I still think Ennor has a long way to go to be a test 13. Good player generally and has skills, pace and size. Just doesn't impress me at 13.

NZ Rugby:
OK, this might well be the only rep rugby this year, so we'd better deliver something special.
Also NZ Rugby:
Right, got it. Lets start a 20 yo lock who is clearly substandard at Super Rugby level, and Aaron Smith is on fire at the moment, so we'll put him on the bench. That should get the fans really pumped!

I reckon Smith and Perenara get 40 each so I wouldn’t be too concerned on that one.
More worried about South’s halfbacks...

That really sums up the problem here; why not just have the Probables versus possibles, so we can see Perenara versus Smith?
