He was an outstanding player Hooroo - tall, athletic, could jump (he had exceptional anticipation for the right time to launch himself) and was adept at climbing up the opposition player in front of him to get to the ball better and, at the same time, to take that player out of the contest. He had several seasons rattling up high scores as well, listed as the Swans' leading goal kicker four years in a row from '84; and twice runner up in the game's leading goal kicker award.
Capper didn't have a long career, pretty much all over within his twenties, but he was the poster boy for the AFL in a few significant marketing campaigns, because of his good looks and flamboyant personality; and the game's highest paid one year in the late '80s (at about $350,000). He was the darling of the Sydney Swans substantial body of homosexual supporters , who were successfully targeted back then by the AFL and who stayed loyal for decades. Their enclave is Darlinghurst, adjacent to the Swan's SCG home ground.
The game back then was more physical and more confrontational - sometimes fabulously brutal :face_savouring_delicious_food: - and Capper starred in the company of Gary Ablett, David Rhys-Jones, Plugger, Gary Buckenara, Dermott, Jason Dunstall, Leigh Matthews, Brian Taylor, Gerard Healy and Dipper.
He only knew AFL and had nothing to sustain him when he retired. He has taken on all sorts of things to make a quid, mainly promotional stuff, sometimes cringe-worthy, but to his credit he grafted his way into his mid '50s debt free. Capper never was a boozy drug drongo and he worked assiduously on his fitness.

What raised my eyebrows from that is Gary Buckenara.
I thought what was a made up name on Wired world of sports? "Gary Buckenara had a bucken beauty and will be bucken hard to beat" or something along those lines from that great tape.
