Crusaders v Waratahs (Round 1)
-
breakdowns are a free for all...no gate, diving, hands, lying in way
-
Tahs building but then Hunt thinks it’s the 5th tackle and grubber kicks it. Then we go 100 metres with relative ease.
Try time.

Awful from Hunt.

In the first half when the game was one sided, Marshall was mentioning how superb the Saders depth is despite how many players have left the franchise, now that the game has tightened up , he’s now lamenting that same loss of players ...anybody else pick this up..?
-
nice pace and line by Jordan
-
@Steven-Harris you listen to Marshall?
-
So that last Saders lineout in the Tahs 22. Tahs kicked it out on the full from just outside the 22 and it was deflected off the boot by a Saders player, but Saders get the lineout throw where it went out.
Why?
-
@KiwiMurph just showing I have the full ranging of skills..it’s either listening to the Mrs while I am watching a game or listening intently to Justin
-
how did he not ping Hall there?
-
Romano still a unit
-
some of these tries have been far too easy
-
Saders a bit too good at the end of the day, despite letting the Tahs back into the game briefly,
Flexed their muscles when they need to , no more better illustrated than Ramano’ cameo off the bench
Quite happy to cut these guys some slack given the heat we are experiencing at this time of the year , last nights game in Australia was played in ridiculous heat not to mention round 1 in 2019 was played on 15th February, that’s 2 weeks from now...I am not surprised regardless of wether they have training and have played the odd preseason game we are seeing a lot of errors, there’s defined a lot of humidity around .
from a Tahs piece , Rob Penny will probably feel a little frustrated that chances were not taken and some of the first up defence shoddy , but given they had several on debut , it’s not a bad staring point ..

Young gun Harrison at 10. By all accounts he is the real deal.
Harrison and Nawaqanitawase
Well Harrison got a lesson. Welcome to First Grade young fella.
Nawaqanitawase looked the goods after some early struggles.

think the game last night was the first Super game in Jan...? Was 2007 they played first weekend of Feb as well, but usually mid-late FEb
-
@taniwharugby to be honest , it really is ridiculous starting this early given the heat and humidity alone , there will be some who will say , that’s what they get paid for, but in my opinion , it does not make it right ..

I think it should be better next year with the round robin competition. But, yeah, I actually liked having the tests in June and the Super Rugby break. That was much maligned but now it is gone we have to start the season a lot earlier. It's a trade off.
