Sorry for the delay but I closed off the competition by adding any points scored for the Highlanders v Hurricanes game - to be honest there weren't many and there were a fair few zeroes for people who actually tipped.
Virgil, Joan and Mary and Richie were the only 3 to pick a Highlanders win and Virgil top scored with 25, moving him into 3rd overall with Joan and Mary moving up to 2nd. Winger took the title despite scoring just 2 points.
At the moment, I still plan to run NPC Tipping ... we'll see what happens
My lowest ever score I think. I'm surprised I keep my lead (a lead due to TR not tipping one week).
And thanks for running again KiwiPie

Who's keen to have an NPC tipping competition whatever form the NPC takes?
Yes please!
-
I'm in. Will be seeing a couple of the Wai-Bush team up at Hataitai Park for the Wellington v Poneke match so will put them on notice to be ready to go for the opening round when they invariably hit me up for the losers shout during the aftermatch function!

NPC Tipping is happening - look for a form to submit your tips very soon.
Thanks for running this again
Everything is at the usual place (tables will be updated with correct data later)
Direct link to the tipping form is here

just roll the dice for week one, I reckon almost every game could go either way!

Yes they could go either way but you were the only person to pick Harbour to win! Which has you at 47th of 47 players ......

Great response to the call and we have 47 players with tips in for Round 1, that's 8 teams of 6 and only BOP with 5 so we get the next player to join up. So everyone who selected a team made it into that team and the 4 who declared as individuals have been drafted as follow.
Richie, @Joan-and-Mary into Northland to make them up to 6.
@Kruse into South Island.
Fiamacho into Counties-Waikato.24 picked Canterbury 9-16 and are all in the lead.
22 picked 1-8 or 17+
1 (TR) picked Harbour 1-8 -
4 games down and 3 to go.
All of Sportboy, YeetYaah, Unite, Fiamacho, Virgil and Stockcar86 have picked 4/4 meaning not many went for a Waikato win. Nobody at all went for that margin of victory though. Margins have made the difference in the leaders for the round, with Caprice, Stargazer, Billsy and Justin77 all on 30 points with 3 margin picks correct.
Counties-Waikato 25 - 26 Hawke's Bay
BOP 26 - 23 Northland
South Island 20 - 25 Wairarapa Bush
Wellington 26 - 26 Harbour-Auckland -
First week results are live https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/
A good win for Harbour-Auckland, a narrow win for Hawke's Bay and the other 2 games were drawn - all very close.
Virgil was the only one to get 7/7 but he struggled to get a margin and is only 5th. It was Caprice who top scored with 50 despite only picking 5 /7 - 4 of the 5 were correct margins and she also picked Otago as low scorers. Gunner is 2nd and Fiamacho 3rd who was the only other one to get a category pick correct. Joan and Mary and Mikedogz share last place with 24 points.
Your score next week goes towards the TSF Cup - the best 16 scores go into Round 1, the rest have to play off to qualify.

4 games in and only YeetYah, Fiamacho and FarNthHayden have picked 4/4. YeetYah has the best score with 32 ahead of Phooey who has 30 with 3 maximums. Missing tippers are @mikedogz @Paj @billsy & @Canes4life
Counties-Waikato 28 - 25 Northland
BOP 25 - 22 Wairarapa Bush
South Island 25 - 23 Harbour-Auckland
Wellington 20 - 17 Hawke's Bay -
Strangely the 3 who picked 4/4 all ended up with 4/7 and nobody at all picked Wellington to win in Auckland. Plenty went for Ta$man as top scorer and Southland as lowest scorer and there was a good boost for those who picked both.
Dice top scored with 53 and is now 2nd overall, 4 behind Gunner who scored 50. Stargazer is in 3rd another 7 points back.
Wairarapa Bush go top in the teams comp although no team has 2 wins so it is very close with 4 teams a point behind. Counties start with 2 defeats to be rock bottom.
The Cup starts next week - if you don't see your name in the Cup draw it means you made it through to the first round proper which starts in Week 4.
