@bayimports I just think keeping Hiku in the centres and adding Turner at fullback would be better than Keighran AND Perham in the centres, defensively.
I hate it when Hiku plays fullback. My heart simply can’t handle it every time the opposition kicks...

I have read a quote from Peyton and he didn't want to put Turner in the position where his lack of match fitness affected his performance.
“Paul Turner is really unlucky to miss out. Our thought process behind leaving him out was that he’s only played one game this year and throwing him at fullback, he’s going to have to cover the most distance, in terms of metres in the game. Up around 11km or 12km. “Given that he was gassed only having to defend playing in the halves against Canterbury, I thought Peta (Hiku), with his form, his match fitness would be better served for us. -
And in other news, Iro's ability to retain his job is over.

@Bovidae look, i don't know the inner workings, but this has to be a good move, considering Iro has been as assistant there since 2012. That's four head coaches for those playing at home.

@mariner4life The article says that both Iro and Jones will likely be retained in other roles. Iro in player development/pathways with the PI players.

@Bovidae I can imagine the amount of wringing of hands in the Pt Chev area right about now.
After the initial knee jerk of losing Jones, especially, and people reading on that he is actually being retained by the club. We should hopefully see that it's for the better.

Sure he cant play 80 minutes, but even a solid 20 would be great for him

@bayimports Jazz is a bit of a list clogger who gives it shit but isn't really good enough if we are to head up the table. Good squadie to plug a gap though.
I miss sneak's list appraisal. It would be interesting this year.

i fucking hope so. If Gavin Cooper is playing i expect them to lift for him, a club legend bowing out. I'm not sure i see enough pride in teh Broncos to avoid the spoon. Who can tell though, the Cowboys have been pretty abject under Hannay as well.

Actually I think Jazz is one of our better players, he has an ability like John Bateman (Raiders) for someone who is not the biggest player to get out of tackles and create play. Its the base and power statistics that also helped him get interchange player of the year, the other year. You need someone like this in your playing 17, (not necessarily starting), but has impact regardless through a match.
My comment was based around, just wanting to see Turner play again..

Cows condemn the Broncos to their first spoon
To add injury to insult they lose arguably their best player (easily their best this year) to an ACL which mean most of next season as well

Darius Boyd says he wants to still be involved in the game when he stops playing, judging by which I thought he retired a few years ago.
