This is a defendable target with Boult, Henry and Ferg. Southee and Bennett... not so much,

@canefan It is inexplicable to me how Bennett makes it into this side, but hard, hard looks need to be taken at Southee in the short form. He's slower, wayward, and not taking nearly enough wickets.
I sound like a broken record but unless he doesn't want to play I can't see why Wags can't get a game. Nice reverse jinx on timmy by the way π
-
Damn we needed him to give that one.
-
Ah my SkyGo stream is a fair bit behind.

Lots of injuries and Bennett was the best quick in the Super Smash. You have to reward domestic form.

I wonder how fast Jamieson is? He doesn't look rapid but faster than Tim. His height is an advantage and he's throwing it into the pitch
He's slower than Southee.
Thanks. His height seems to be the x factor. That and the fact they haven't seen him before

Does Wags play SS?

And the fact he is bowling consistent line and length. He looks a good find to me already. Another 5km of pace would be a bonus, but not essential.

I think he played a few when he came back from Oz.

Yep, McGrath was only low to mid 130s but hit a great length and his extra height caused some variable bounce. Jamieson has loads of potential.

I was trying to avoid mentioning McGrath, given that it's Jamieson's first game ...
But yeah, that's who he reminds me of.
