Jamieson appears to be to the manor born.
Used to open the batting for Grammar. Scored a 100 against the touring england side a couple of years ago. Why have we not seen this dude before? Kylo toying with the man in the deep too

If Jamieson continues like this, he's shaping up to be a future international all rounder. He should be batting higher than Southee. Timmah has been riding on the memory of long ago batting form for far too long. He's a bowler who can hold a bat, not an all rounder.

I don't think there's much doubt he should bat higher than Southee. The issue I whether he should do so in his first test. That's perhaps too much pressure on a young guy.
However it appears Jamieson doesn't feel pressured at all, judging by his performances for NZ this far. I suspect he'll bat 8 in the second innings.

He seems a really composed guy, what a find

Excellent contribution of 44 runs from Jamieson. Gutted he didn't make it to 50, but plenty more opportunities to come., if the selectors have half a brain cell.
Interesting to see who misses out next game. Kylo, Timmy or the spinner? The spinner is the easy option

@canefan I feel like dropping the dude who is in super form with both ball and bat would be a huge mistake, so more between Boult, Southee, Patel.
Wags and Kylo need to play. That's an amazing statement
