AFL 2021

awesome win, Elijah taylors first AFL goal was a beauty
-
also, going by yesterday, i am really happy we got West Coast at the start of the year. If they stay fit, and get a WA Grand Final, they are going to be really hard to beat. Collingwood are really good, and they just hammered them from the last part of the 1st quarter onwards
-
i watched a couple of quarters of that game...WA were scary in the third quarter
-
Rampe injured...think we're looking for a new doc and or physio in the draft
-
@mariner4life Dees won the first quarter, were then completely out-gunned in Q2 and I flicked off early into the third quarter as things carried on that way. Big surge in Q4 though, must have been exciting to watch. I don't know what to make of them. It's an exciting list with Gawn, Jones, Brayshaw, Petracca, Salem, Weiderman etc but they really, really fade out of games badly and tend to lose games in one quarter.

It’s a little surreal seeing the ladder and the Saints are 3rd. We were outplayed by Collingwood but the pre-lockdown North game, and the Freo game we should never have lost.

What a win. Two Adelaide teams in 6 days in Adelaide. Least the night wasn’t completely ruined!
As if 50% of that is a chalkenge
-
god, how bad was last night? Conditions were appalling. And Freo are shit.
I turned it off and watched Baseball

It's such a topsy-turvy season, and at the moment no result would shock me. Adelaide probably should have won on the weekend, and North looked pretty good too.
I genuinely think the GF winner will be one of Brisbane or West Coast, and it will depend solely on where they play the finals. A large parochial home crowd will be such an advantage in a close season. Plus the season-long hub life will take it's toll on the Melbourne teams IMO.

AFL tipping is a bit of a nightmare. Teams are up one week, and then down the next. There is no consistency in form at all.
Whoever wins this season is going to earn it.
I can't wait for the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Vic teams when they say how disadvantaged they are by not getting to play finals in Vic
-
@barbarian Gerard Whateley said something funny last night, the West Coast Eagles will probably join the Clive Palmer High Court case you keep the WA border closed!
They are in a strong position.
-
I had a bet on them at $13 after they lost their third straight game in the hub. Feeling pretty good about that now.
I'm relatively new to following the AFL closely, and the media swings so wildly based off each week's results. A team has two bad games on the trot and they get a week of ex-players and hangers on calling for everyone to be fired/dropped.
It was GWS last week, Richmond are in that spot at the moment, same with Hawthorn. But they string a few wins together and they are in the 8, or in Richmond's case in the top 4. It's just empty talk to fill airtime.
-
And the roller coaster continues
Richmond absolutely hammer the Dogs, who had been going alright. It was one way traffic last night, and Dusty pretty much did what ever he wanted. The Dogs' defensive structure completely fell apart.
Big game tonight. If Melbourne play like they did last weekend they can beat Port, but this short turnaround might kill them.
I have an 8-leg same game multi on. It's multi madness over this run of games!
-
Melbourne were appalling last night. No effort, and just dominated by Port. It was veeeery ugly.
Port are bloody good though, they have some good players, and play a good style to watch.
-
@mariner4life I'm pleased I was out and didn't know it was on.

the writing was on the wall very early
-
i'd really love another win...just to keep away form the bottom but i dont thin the saints are going to give us one
-
@Kiwiwomble it's okay, no matter how much you suck, Adelaide are worse.
-
@mariner4life ...see thats the shit we'll just come out and disprove!
