Brissy trying to hold on with 6 minutes to go.

Bolton almost kicked the goal of the season. Just grazed the padding.

    LIONS!!!!

I can't remember the last time I was that invested in a game. My kids heard some colourful phrases.

I thought we fucked it with those two misses at the end of the 3rd. Then the 4th was a shitfight. But we won, and we're in a prelim!!

A word on the Ch7 Richmond cheer squad. It was apparent there was only one team out there. And only one result. Listening to them after Mccluggage's goal was pretty funny.

    Yew!

I thought Brisbane played fantastic footy. Their game suited the ground and the ball bounced their way, went to hand and it looked the best they can play.

Richmond will be better without Chol taking up space in the forward line.

Speaking of the ground, from my armchair there appeared to be an extraordinary number of guys slipping over. Humidity or surface?

    Is that you Bruce?

Talk about praise through gritted teeth.

Sorry I'm not effusive enough in praising your team of gods descended from the heavens to demonstrate how the game can be played. How dare my team have the effrontery to even take the field.

Definitely channeling Bruce talking about Dusty and the Tigers now

It.may be a slight overreaction to the piles of Richmond salt.all over social media, but come on

That's not the best we can play. Neale didn't touch it for a quarter and a bit. We butchered a couple of absolute gimmes. We barely layed a tackle in the first half. There is still big improvement

You'll probably set a record margin in the final.

Brisbane are my second team in this finals and I hope they win the flag if my Saints can’t.

Brisbane’s pressure was excellent last night. For 3 quarters they played a game style that Richmond couldn’t really match. That 4th quarter however, for both sides was iffy as.

It’s a huge occasion for the Lions to win a finals match. They haven’t done it for a long time and against a team they haven’t beaten for eons.

I thought Richmond were all over us for the first quarter and a bit, and we did incredibly well to be in the game. We kick behinds instead of goals and that gme is different after quarter time. To then turn the pressure back on Richmond was huge, and it really should have been over at 3/4 time.

The last quarter was a tense shitfight where the loons defence was huge. I swore at the TV. A lot.

For those players to have it proven they can match Richmond's game will be massive.

Of course, we have to get past west coast or Geelong before it's even an issue.

I think the media made too much of Richmond’s winning streak , Most of that Time Brisbane were garbage , but I guess they are always looking for a story .It’s only been 3 since Brisbane were good , it was only a matter of time before they beat us ,

Thought we were significantly weaker without lynch and soldo , two strong marking players . Not an excuse but just a reality where we struggled .Brisbane clearly better in the air on the day . And gave away too many frees plus 4 50s , you can’t do that against a quality side in a final and Expect to win . Brisbane capitalised , that’s football .

History shows the two side that qualify first go through most often , I think Brisbane and port now are in the box seat now.

Our midfielders forced a lot of Richmond's entries to be bombs, so a couple of decent marking players definitely would have made a difference.

Thought Bolton was nearly the most dangerous player on the park and I panicked whenever he got near it

Yeah also lynchs presence would cause Andrews to be More accountable And Be forced to stick to him like gluE like the last game , And not intercept as much ,

But thems the breaks , Brisbane played well and deserved their win ,

I’m not taking the loss bad , we have had our recent success And up around the top 4 is still A bloody nice Place to be compared to the Pain from years gone by

Big 3rd quarter. Great to see us using that centre clearance to good effect. But we’ve been here before and I’ve seen us drop off in the 4th.
