And predictably Collingwood slumped again yesterday. Out of the 8 now.
indeed, something for us all to celebrate in these dark times
The great irony is Pies supporters are probably responsible:
-
yuck
-
teh guy on the left is definitely a Union official
-
How good is footy every night?
Also there are some shocking haircuts in the AFL this year
-
Port Adelaide are pretty bloody good. The Dogs had a real crack at them last night, and just couldn't get it done.
I think Charlie Dixon might be my favourite non-Lions player in the comp

Yeah he's great. Feel a bit for the Dogs, I think they're a top 8 team but in back-to-back games they have run into resurgent Richmond and a fired-up Port at home.
Richmond-Brisbane tonight will be a belter.
they don't use the ball well by foot, and they have no targets up front. The Port tall defenders picked them off at will last night.
Should be good tonight. I get the feeling we'll lose this. The Lions are playing a baby backline, so probably Dusty gets off the chain, and then it's lights out. And in games with high pressure, the goal kicking stats go through the floor.
I just hope it's a quality game with a decent score.

Well this is going to expectation.

Another half to go. Lions need to be more accurate.

Or they could kick 7 behinds in the quarter
3-15!!!!
We dominated that quarter and we're still a mile behind
-
The tigers will comfortably win the flag
We will not be a real contender until we rebuild the forward line
-
Comfortable win from about the same amount of scoring shots. It's one thing to have heaps of uncontested marks, quite another to score goals.
-
It’s rare to see two teams have the same scoring shots and one team loses by 40 points!
You can see the foundation is there for the Lions but will need some changes at half forward to capitalise on that transition of very good halfback and midfield play into more consistent forward play and scoreboard pressure.
Tigers looked very good though. Jack looked as comfortable as ever tonight and it’s been hard going for him since the return.
-
Was a very similar scenario to last years quarterfinal ,
Richmond more efficient, Brisbane left rueing their chances

I would keep Cameron, and probably Rayner. Everyone else is on the trade table. Hipwood is no better now than his first year
Tigers were bloody good. Some of the surges by their young quick midfielders were a joy to watch.

I don’t think Brisbane need to panic , experience comes the more you play ,
Most of Richmond’s premiership players were part of a team people made jokes about because they couldn’t win a final .
I think what has been overlooked with last night , Richmond Disrupted their preferred avenue of attack, took away their centre corridor Play and forced them to go wide , and I think that contributed to knocking the stuffing out of their collective confidence

It was interesting looking at the speed and distance data from the AFL; Lions were marginally quicker on attack, but slower on defence. Tigers really do set up pressure defensively.
