I'm throwing my support behind the Dees @shark
In the context of covid, I'd like nothing more than a Western Australian team to lose in front of a Western Australian crowd.
yeah me too with the Dees
The Eagles getting horsewhipped in a GF in Perth would have been fucking hilarious. Especially if it was by a Sydney team

I like both of these sides and can’t stand the two teams they beat in the prelims, so happy for Dees and Dogs.
When my family moved to Oz we made friends with an Aussie family that were mad Dogs supporters. They bought us scarves and beanies and took us over to the Western Oval to watch a couple of games.
Given we lived in bayside, it took ages to get over to Footscray. The old man said, surely there’s a team closer by. Moorabbin was 10 minutes away from home so we hitched our wagon to the Saints.
Where we lived though was in the Demons catchment area. So my primary school played little league for the Demons. Demon players came to our school to run clinics and stuff. There were a couple of Demon players that lived near us too.

Awesome. But you realise the Western Bulldogs are from the Western suburbs of Melbourne?

I just saw West and presumed Eagles. Footscray's fault for changing their name.
Doesn't change anything either.

Congrats @shark
Crusaders in SRA, Demons and Suns got to the big dance and just fell short.
Your year bro

That was simply sensational. Amazing. Pretty emotional after so many poor years, the hope built during the Roos years up until the 2018 qualifying final loss followed by two more wildly inconsistent years and now a premiership. I've been a Dees fan since my time in Melbourne from 2002 - 2004 so this has been a fair while coming but nothing like the 57 year wait some have endured.
Great first quarter then we really copped it in the second and early in the third. The Dogs built tremendous momentum but that whole time I had faith one quick goal could re-ignite us and so it transpired. Some of the stats are nuts. Petracca's record posessions, Fritsch with six majors, kicking 11 or so in a row and the record GF winning margin. Wow. What a way to do it. So, so stoked.

That was an incredible second half from the Dees. Hard to pick what it was that flicked the switch, maybe Bontempelli having a spell on the bench just when they had the Dees on the floor, maybe should have gone for the jugular but great result for Melbourne and great for Maxxy and his NZ connections

What a weird GF. Was a great game and a blowout at the same time. Never seen anything quite like it.
Very happy for the Demons. Great to do it for Neale Daniher. I doubted them halfway through the year but they got in stride in the final half of the season and never looked back.
I think that Geelong win in the last round was enormous for their momentum.

My favourite game of the whole season. The smugness of Geelong bought down several pegs.
