Fuck
Been there. Comisserations.
My advice. Live through it. Learn from it. We
I think England will be there or there abouts in France in 2023.
Serously?
England made the final despite having the toughest draw of the major teams.
Sky is the limit for guys like Itoje, Underhill, Curry, Sinkler and Ford. All excellent players. All will be there in 2023.
I'd ditch Farrell as captain and give the gig to Itoje. He's developing into an outstanding player.
Agree about the personnel.
But the draw?
Poor Tonga team
Poor USA team
14-man Argentina
Week off
Average Australia team
Excellent SF against NZ
Hammered by SANot exactly stellar
Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.
Four years ago we got you and Oz in the pool at a home World Cup.
That shit ain’t happening again ...And?
Pools are seeded now. Try not to be shit in between.Still and?
Just pointing out that although England had to beat NZ to reach the Final (a feat nobody else could do at this WC), they didn't have to get out out of 2nd gear prior to that match.
They won the SF, they won it well, but they may have over-revved and burnt the clutch.

Good watch. Amazing stuff by the Boks, picked them to sneak it but that was something special. Guessing Jones was prepping for last weeks Boks, did not expect that expansive play. Congrats to all you saffa ferners. I have a feeling the ABs might start to see a few bokke in their nightmares during the next rugby championship. Kolisi incredibly humble in victory, seems like a very inspirational bloke.

Fuck off Dayglo.
SA had a higher purpose.
Repeat after me
OUTMUSCLED, OUTPLAYED, OUTTHOUGHT, OUTCOACHED
Lawrence D didn't exactly cover himself in glory as a pundit tonight.
I watched the NZ/Eng semi and the final on ITV with the sound off.
Far more enjoyable.

The English fans booing Garces at the medal ceremony can just fuck off. He is shit for all teams he refs. He is indiscriminately shite.

Super chuffed.
About to be completely shitfaced.
Post more coherent thoughts when I sober up.Bokke!

ITV Commentator: It's been a disappointment for Northern Hemisphere rugby and that won't just be felt in England.

England and their arrogant coach celebrated beating the All Blacks like it was VE day. Hubris.
Nemesis comes in the form of the Springboks.
What a load of rubbish.
Most of the English fans are great. I was thinking about some of the rubbish that has been in the UK media this week.
As with most countries, the real rugby people are wonderful. Sadly, it’s the bandwagon jumpers, bringing their petty footballing fan culture, that ruin it for everyone. England, quite naturally given the size of their population just tend to have more than most
This is the sort of shit that I hate about rugby in this country - the people who put themselves on a pedestal because the like rugby. Or call people “rugby guys” like it’s some sort of compliment.
It’s a sport. If you’re a piston wristed gibbon, you’re a piston wristed gibbon.
Most people in this world are good people. Rugby has no higher ratio of good guys than any other sport - despite what the rugby guys will tell you.

Amazing how England struggle to make metres against a non-passive defence... 🤷♂️
Yes, Boks advanced 5m before tackle so that even if English made a metre or two in contact the net effect was losing ground.

This is the worst scrum I've seen in international rugby for years
Malherbe exposing Vunipola's fragility which has been there for years. Owen must be enjoying.

@sparky Yes. To you rugby tragics, trench warfare is great. For 80% of the viewing public, they want to see ball movement, sweeping backline moves and tries.
Well, Rugby has at least one new fan:

Watching how the Boks beat England makes me think that the biggest work for the next All Blacks coach will be how to change a passive defence into a rush defence. Every team on this earth does not know how to cope with the latter. One of the reasons why the All Blacks lost last week was their incapacity to cope with the aggressive English defence. The same happened today to the Poms.

Congratulations Boks, so happy for you, Siya such a humble guy , impossible to dislike him.
Also kind of nice that ABs did beat them at this years World Cup.
Hopefully this puts an end to all the fingerpointing and blame from some AB fans, every game is different. I think England played their final last week, and unfortunately we had our two finals against SA and Ireland, maybe even the Bled as well, super hard to lift that many times in a few weeks. Boks timed their run beautifully.
