Championship Final: The Bay vs Hawkes

With no basis in anything, I'd always assumed it was Ranfurly Shield rules.
Meaning that you keep it for the rest of the year...just saying.
Those rules will work against us one day in the future I imagine. Thus the vital importance of not losing to Hawkes is written into the Bay coaching job description...

Personally, If you guys come second, I think the rugby world will be referring to your lot as 'of Plenty'.

Like you'd give up the Ranfurly Shield under the same circumstances

It's not like you're playing for a decent title. All you are playing for is to play against more of the same teams next season. It's no thrill

There is a trophy though.
We wore that with our beers, this time last year.

Can't be that important, you haven't even hit 50% of wins since the NPC restructure. (Hmm, probably should have checked the results of every year before making this claim).

If you're feeling a bit left out, like you can't contribute, Magpies captain Ash Dixon is from Chch originally ....

I suppose job descriptions are more wish list than reality.

Christchurch! Does that mean we can change your logo and consult on a new name for Hawkes?

Noted ... I'm going to reference this in my next discussion with the CEO as their are aspects of my job I would not like to be doing!

Your captain is "from" Gosford, Australia - Bay of Plenty Waratahs has a nice ring to it.

Might go O.K. if you dont work for @booboo
I have a minion to proof read my work stuff ... I guess I'll need him to proof my forum-ing now so I can avoid a smackdown from @booboo.
-
@Snowy said in Mickey Mouse Final: The Bay vs Hawkes:
@Nepia That might not go down so well.
"This prick on the internet is hassling me about spelling and grammar, could you proof this? Otherwise this other bloody corrector is going to annoy me too."
As Boobs would say, "we're helping".
Hahaha, although, I work in a Chinese organisation, the proofing my minion does for me pales in comparison to some of the other stuff he does.

Im up for playing the title every match, Raeburn shield style, not Ranfurly Shield.....The Bay-Burn Shield
As clearly noted loser of this game will cop lots of banter either way..
