Congratulations England, the better team tonight by a fair bit.
Yup, played so much smarter and will be very, very tough to beat moving forward.

Hope this isn’t like the 2007 quarter finals all over again.
Nah. This was the expected result. And we're not playing France ....
... my desperation and I'm sticking wit h it

Ozzie won every stat, apart from turnovers and the scoreboard.
Yeah, but in the end the scoreboard is the only stat that counts.

Haere ra Krusty , on some level I might probably miss his tantrums in the coaching box but outside of that I put him in the same catagory as Mitchell, Woodward, White and Scott Johnson . The games better off without them.
Commiserations aussies, it might have been better if you lost to Scotland in 2015 and this turd didn't get to coast on making the final for the next four years.

Too true, just pointing out that Ozzieika continually fucked up their chances

That's a good point really. Cheika has been average for 4 years but nobody has seriously talked about sacking him.

Farewell Will Genia, a decent bloke for an Aussie. One of the great half backs.
Farewell Bono. A very good player indeed, but you did yourself no favours by pretending you were the Messiah.
Bye, bye Crusty. No tears for you.

Well done England.
England did what they needed to do, and at times looked very impressive doing it.
Extra week off certainly helped with fitnes and perfecting their game plan.
Will be interesting to see how they go when / if the pack are going backwards.

English fans on twitter taking a cue from their guys and acting like they've won the Cup already.
It is my dearest wish they end up 4th.
Let them ignore how little rugby they actually played
If you weren't impressed then you're dreaming. England were excellent.

I hate to criticize the ref after a big win like this, but I felt Garces had a pretty average game. Aussies had a number of turnovers/PKs at the ruck not blown.
They played the Pooper and the ref didn't reward the one advantage of the Pooper when he should have. I felt there were at least 3 holding on PKs they should have gotten.
I also thought in general that Garces waved a lot on, ala Barnes 2007 and Lawrence 2011. Perhaps he froze a bit?

For me, the most infuriating thing about the game was Australia actually had some good performances on the park. When they got that try in the second half I thought this was it. But they let themselves down as a team, and their tactical naivety was embarassing
