Young scrum-half Ruben de Haas will make his first start for the USA after impressing as a replacement against England and France. Twenty-year-old De Haas, who replaces Shaun Davies, is one of three changes USA coach Gary Gold has made to his team for the Pool C match against Argentina in Kumagaya Rugby Stadium on Wednesday, 9 October. Second-row Greg Peterson and centre Paul Lasike will also start against the Pumas, replacing Nick Civetta and Martin Iosefo respectively. Iosefo drops to the bench with Davies and Civetta out of the matchday 23.Argentina cannot progress to the knockout stage following defeats by France and England. USA are seeking their first win at the Rugby World Cup since a 13-6 victory over Russia in 2011. The Eagles only other RWC wins came against Japan in 1987 and 2003.

Argies will no doubt be very disappointed not being able to get out of thier pool!
Quips about playing too many friendlies just dont have the same appeal they used to.
Looks like 1987, 2003 and now 2019 will be th eonly years they have failed ot get out of thier pool.

Biggest dissapointment of the rugby WC so far

They stuffed up their prep massively apparently. Stayed in Oz to train after RC (which is an insane amount of time away), couldn't get fields to train on, wasted time playing against Randwick.
Not making excuses, I agree they were the biggest disappointment, but that's some very poor planning!

One team had to miss out from Pool C. Based on the rankings that was always likely to be Argentina.
Those same rankings that had Wales and Ireland on top over the last month...
I really expected them to beat France, they should be disappointed

15 minutes into the 2nd half and it's already 33 - 5 to the Pumas.
Before the tournament, I thought the USA had improved quite a bit, but now I'm not so sure. Sunday's game against Tonga may provide the final answe. Based on what I've seen thus far, I expect Tonga beat them easily.
