@shark By starting a thread on it the next day instead of just writing it in the game day forum lol.

Not much sport on if this deserves a thread.
You don't think some kind of marker - not a good one - was laid down here? The lack of reaction from Whitelock isn't a great omen, or is it just a reflection on him do you think? I'd rather think it was the latter.

A well thought out thread topic in my humble opinion.
I was a bit disappointed at Luke’s log reception too given we had beaten the old southern foe and how well we had actually played.

Yes, I couldn't agree with me more, too.

Somewhat related to the OP, I was a bit disappointed by how unexcited most of the Canterbury players were when they won the game last night. There was no hugging, no kissing, no tears of joy and no football-esque jumping up and down on the spot in unison. As much as it pains me to admit it as a proud Canterbury supporter, I just don't think many of our players care that much about the Ranfurly Shield. Perhaps it's because they've had so much provincial success over the past decade, perhaps it's because some of these players have just been involved in a Super Rugby three-peat? I'm not sure the reason but they didn't seem as excited as I'd have hoped.
