The ball is likely very slippery in humid conditions.
@ACT-Crusader Fidow looks average to me. Leaupepe is a solid lock.
Agree. TNW is the lone class player on the park.
Showed it then with how he could break out of a tackle and then provide good quick ball after being tackled. Set up the try.

@MiketheSnow I disagree, because I think the ref might have got it wrong in Matu'u's case. Also, the judiciary has the final say; they don't have to agree with refs or citing officers.

Tusi Pisi is a horrendous goalkicker. Should have taken Leuila over as he can bang goals over at the very least.
I wonder whether TNW would be a better goal kicker.

Horrible injury to Amosa..
-
@Stargazer Couldn't do any worse.
-
Zero variation in the Russian attack. Tackling practice for Samoa.
-
Hooray
Great hands
Great try
-
Lovely inside ball
-
Well worked try. Come on Samoa!
-
That seems to have flicked the switch for Samoa.
-
Lyn Jones must be furious.
Russia had a chance to go in at half-time in the lead with still minutes left on the YC.
Could have played it tight in the second half and let Samoa makes mistakes and get frustrated.
Could have come away with a famous victory.
No chance now.
-
Passes starting to stick for the Samoans now with the Russians beginning to tire.
-
Kane Leaupepe has been the best out there imo.
Gutted for Amosa.
-
What is the point of wheeling Amosa back out to watch the match bandaged up and on crutches?
Get washed and get resting.
So behind other sports when it comes to injury.

@Bovidae split second to react, yes. But if a player sprints in from 25m away as Matu seemed to with head down and launches himself headfirst at the opposition he has to know that he won't be in a position to make that split second adjustment. Which is reckless by any definition
