RWC: Fiji v Australia (Pool D)

@Anonymous totally agree..the real key figure for me in the 2nd half for Fiji was the halfback..unfortunately he’s been bloody poor..to just kick the ball for touch was just playing rugby back into Australia’s hands..you are better off trying to carry outside of their 22 ..and trying to create something..

fark POcock flying in there, probably lucky he hit a brick wall otherwise shoulda been pinged
-
fair reflection in that scor,e although a BP for Fiji woulda been nice

@NTA Yeah games are much tighter affairs come WC time against tier 2 nations and the best way to play them out of games is by doing the basics right and keeping things simple. Having said that, I thought the Aussies did well in the end, weathering the early storm thrown at them. A few iffy moments in there for them but as the Fijians began to tire, they started to bully them at set piece time.

No ball for Fiji in that second half killed them.
Why we tried to keep being smart arses instead of winning the game is beyond me. Result.
Fucks sake Fiji play again Wednesday. That is bullshit
They only play Uruguay.
Wallabies will be pleased with that. Dominant second half. Genia should have come on much earlier.

If only Fiji had a scrum...
They will give Wales a good game.
If Wales have an Australian brainfart and play to Fiji's strengths.
Otherwise our set piece and rolling maul will starve them. And frustrate them.
This was their chance.

I called yellow at the time.
Would love to see a different angle because on this viewing it looks like Hodge had the shoulder to the head - his own fault - rather thsn the other way round.
