Game of the weekend, including the internationals.

@JK interesting that Northland who had a club day at the Magpies game on Saturday attracted over 7;000 people,.probably the best crowd of the 2019 Mitre 10 Cup ..it was promoted vey well..;with free buses laid on for all the clubs that were able to attend.

Would have been more but @taniwharugby saw the writing on the wall and left just before the start of the game.

@Nepia not to sure if you were at the game, but most of the crowd stayed until late, most started filtering out with about 5 to go..sure the team could be traveling better, but they do get very solid crowds..quite opposite to what we are seeing at some of the bigger centres

Haha, no, I live in Sydney and have driven through Whangarei once in my life - this July.
I was just being cheeky.

@Nepia yep, me and my thousand kids left en masse prior to k/o, but still had to pay to watch the U14 game I went for, so did my part!
Wise, you don't want to subject young kids to the savage second half beating we witnessed.

Wasn’t a huge amount of promotion for the harbour one and certainly none from our club given the game clashed with junior prize giving which was a very well attended affair.
I imagine it would be the same for many other shore clubs given junior rugby finished on the Saturday for the season
