Vingegaard has lost Roglic and Kruiswijk due to injury and Jonas himself had a crash - suffering only a bit of road rash apparently.
But, that changes the balance going into the Pyrenees - a bit more of a one-on-one dogfight.
I wonder how much time Pog thinks he can make up in the final time trial.

Just had a look and it is scheduled at about 59 minutes over approx 40km. (so 60kph).
By my maths he would need to average 1.4kph faster to make up 2 minutes on the scheduled time. That doesn't account for Vings speed.
Stage 18 looks the best chance. Maybe try and tire him a bit the day before then crack him on the three climbs (2 HCs and a Cat1)

Pog lost Marc Soler last night - he was throwing up and didn't make the cut off time.
And today, he's lost Rafael Majka - who has a torn thigh muscle and can't start.
So he's down to three support riders - McNulty, Hirschi (who's been struggling all tour) and Bjerg.
He's going to have to do it himself.
Vingegaard still has five team mates - including Van Aert, Benoot and Kuss.

Ha ha, how far away was that call? Maybe tomorrow as McNulty is absolutely ruining himself in service of the Pog today.
Fucking hell they are going.

It's like magic!
McNulty seems to have kept a very low profile through the tour so far, so maybe UAE have been clever and preserved his legs. Maybe tonight it will be Hirschi's turn.
I've only see the website video, but Jonas didn't seem to be in any trouble at the finish.

Nah, Jonas looked fine. Today is going to be a cracker. I wonder whether any Jumbo guys have any legs left?

Pog attacks but cant distance Jonas, this has turned into a great TDF.
Any signs that he way have had Jonas working harder than he wanted? Pog simply has to keep attacking him and hope he cracks first.
It actually looked like McNulty had better legs than both of them, and both times Pog went for him, Jonas came back to his wheel without problem. You just have to wonder how many times he can do it though, especially with the pace they are setting.

That's Pog's only hope now. Keep at him and hope. He's not going to trick him like he was tricked.

@gt12 Pog actually looked worse than Jonas, even though he won.
Yeah, the guy from LR was arguing that it looked like it's taking more out of Pog than Jonas, but I dunno, he's a tricky bastard. He looked like he was blown on the last ramp and got Jonas to move off his wheel then put on the burners.
