This isn't the first time Adams has underwhelmed in the play-offs. Remember a year or two ago he was thoroughly outplayed by Enes Kanter in a match up OKC were reliant on winning.
He's always been a complimentary player, I've never seen him called upon to play a prominent scoring role. Just isn't aggressive enough
-
I dont think its fair to say Adams has disappointed these playoffs. You can definitely make the case that he's overpaid, but he is hardly the outlier in the leagie, loads of worse contracts than his.
In terms of his efforts, his Per36min numbers these playoffs are spot on - 12.2pts and 13.9rbs on 60% shooting. Thats all you could ever expect from him.
Defensively this was always going to be a tough series for him with Tucker and Convington drawing him away from the basket.

What a season by Butler and Heat. Shows you the importance of culture and fit.
Butler is a fucking boss and has found his spiritual home with Riley and Spo. As ESPN alluded to the other day, it appears that all that talk of him being a locker room cancer came from snow flakes who didn't like the sound of truth according to him

Bucks were terrible, TGF especially (don't give me any injury BS, this was effectan elimination game). Jacking 3's, woeful from the line, then they froze in the 4th quarter.
Lots to like about this Miami team, they could be great next year when they shift some of their deadwood contracts (Solomon Hill, Leonard etc)
-
Absolutely garbage offence from the Bucks in the 4th quarter. Dante, Middleton and Lopez all jacking up 30 footers. Jimmy Buckets has that edge and when the game is there to be one, for better or worse you know he wants it. Got it done today.

I was pretty impressed with the Rockets tenacity and defensive pressure. Harden in particular was very good. Dare to dream that the Lakers choke....

I watched the first half and LA shot terribly. That's not going to cut it against that high octane offense

Shame Giannis aggravated the ankle because he was playing pretty awesome before that moment. Looked zeroed in for a big game. Happy for Middleton, he’s theIr best close out guy and should have the ball more in those situations.
-
Clippers win and Playoff P back is back in the building.
-
Celtics were brutal on offence and defence. Raptors looked a little weary.

kawhi was massive in the 4th, his rebounding in particular, but a couple of great passes also and that fingertip block was outrageous
-
It’s a fascinating series. Nuggets are a very good team and a couple of different subs and Murray getting a couple of easier shots and this is a different ball game.
My concern with the Clippers is that they can drift in and out of games because of their talent and depth. Want to see a bit more fire in the belly and Lou and Harrell playing a little more together to put pressure on the Nuggets second unit.
-
@ACT-Crusader they are punching above their weight but without a true superstar it's going to be hard to get another game back. Vanvleet is having a career year, Lowry is old but still putting in serious work like Chris Paul. But Siakam is their true scoring threat and he's down on his regular-season figures by quite a bit. I saw Nick Nurse is putting some of it down to Pascal struggling to adjust to the bubble but not really very sure what else is going on.

Hard to see a clear title favourite at this point. Every remaining team feels about 80% of a really good team.
I still favour Lakers or Clippers, purely down to Lebron and Kawhi. When it all breaks down, they are the only two I trust. But their teams have some pretty glaring flaws.

Celtics look strong at the moment. They are young, athletic, well coached and deep. Hayward will be back for the CFs too

@ACT-Crusader I don't get why Rivers gets away from criticism for the way the Clips are playing. Without doubt they have the most talent, but they fall asleep on D frequently, and their offence seems to revolve around Kawhi, PG and Lou W taking turns
