Ashes looking safe in Aussie hands.
Bold call there - and I tend towards that line of thinking...
But I am quietly betting on England taking this Test - which means all-square.Smith should return in the next test, Labuschagne will probably retain his spot and one of Wade or Head will go. Plus, Warner has some runs under the belt now so you'd back him to start coming good. All-in-all advantage Aus.
BUT: the England (pace) attack is looking sharp. I wouldn't completely be writing them off just yet. They just need a few more guys to get some runs.

England batsmen doing their level best to throw away this test.
Stokes gone now driving at a wide one: 34/4

@Billy-Webb don't think that qualifies as "driving". Terrible waft.

Not really sure you call that. "Waft" will do but f'ing terrible school boy stuff. Bloody Cantabs.

If I had a ticket for day 4 I'd be starting to worry.
If I had a ticket for day 5 I'd be considering using it to wipe my ...Geez this is poor batting by England

So much for my pontificating about Starc's inclusion / exclusion.
If Pattinson, Hazelwood and Cummins are going to keep getting these sorts of results, then I'm afraid Starc isn't going to get a look in. -

How do you get a job being a specialist batsman at 7? If this buttler fella was any good ( at test cricket) wouldn't he be at 4?
If you have a true allrounder like Stokes, it makes it possible.
They don't come around often...
