Quade might be available too.Get BOD out of retirement?
No need to go overseas for players - borrow O'Gara from the Crusaders.

god how depressing. I hope you are either at Uni, or moved there from somewhere even worse
Palmy?
Every time I go there for work I scratch my head and wonder why it actually exists. Truly.
To make Hamilton feel better about itself ?

That's Taihape's job.
Na not really. Taihape competes more with the little shit towns that litter our Great country. Levin/Otaki/Foxton/Bulls/Feilding etc. Palmy due to it's much bigger size competes against Napier/New Plymouth/Tauranga/Nelson etc and fares even worse than a prime Frans Botha against Michael Moorer, Mike Tyson, Vladimir Klitchko, Evander Kolyfield and Lennox Lewis.

@MN5 take Tauranga the fuck out of that mix thankq
I prefer NP and Napier but it's about the same size which is what I was getting at.

Someone got their adult diapers in a twist.
Tauranga = NZs answer to Florida. Beautiful beaches that you have to drive through thousands of polyester clad mobility scooter drivers to get to.

@Yeetyaah actually feel for Solomon , I know what Caleb Did was not deliberate, but it was kind of reckless..He was never going to stop Solly from scoring , just feel he could have jumped over him, given the damage inflicted ..personally if it was me injured , I would be very dark.

The details of Gatland's deal, gladly signed off by New Zealand Rugby, have been well publicised but less well-known is the extent of the franchise's rebuilding job next year under new coach Clayton McMillan because it's understood current assistants Tabai Matson and Neil Barnes will not be assisting him.

paywalled
but how does a lack of job security in a business where the only thing that matters is results, make you do your job worse?

@Tim good , matson especially has been a waste of time and barnes at defence was poor last season.
As I've said previously, Gatland inherited Colin Cooper's assistants, and neither Barnes (forwards) or Matson (defence) have been good enough this season. If McMillan is being groomed to take over in 2024 then he should have some say in the appointment of the new assistants. Gatland has favoured the rush defence but the Chiefs have been guilty of being too passive on defence, which highlights to me that Matson was fully in charge of the defensive system used. Getting a new forwards coach similar to Coventry would be a good start.
