WTF
A statement from The Blues said the Super Rugby side was aware of an anonymous complaint being lodged via the Independent Complaints Authority, which acts on behalf of New Zealand Rugby.
Normally noise complaints go through the Councils contractor, and I wouldn't have expected it to be 'an employment issue'

Can we lodge complaints about tactics for the semifinal last year? It's more problematic to me than a 22 year old having a party.

@Kirwan the thing that pisses me off the most, this neighbour gets his or her name kept from the public.
Can’t see why this could have been sorted out between the 2 parties..,pardon the pun ..!If it happened once, and Ioane and mates had responded to the complaints appropriately, I would agree with you. But if it happened multiple times and they continued to be a nuisance to the neighbourhood, than obviously they had to find another solution. Whether complaining to the Independent Complaints Authority was the right solution, remains to be seen. You'd expect them to go to a council department dealing with noise control.
I agree with the neighbour getting his/her name kept from the public, considering the risk of harrassment and bullying from Ioane's fans.

Can I direct you to Woman’s Day if you think this a valid news story?

@Kirwan Unfortunately, the media think that everything that marginally involves a well-known sportsperson - especially an All Black - is newsworthy. Even worse, they think we are all suffering from amnesia, so they repeat it over and over again, and copy and paste it in unrelated stories about the same player(s).
If - for whatever reason - the complaint against Ioane is upheld and has certain consequences, I think it's newsworthy. This is the first article I've read about this "incident", and I think there was nothing wrong in posting it on the Fern, if that's what you are implying.
-
Story consists of:
- Young bloke has home near other people.
- Young guy had some mates around and they were still up at 2am.
- There was beer and two guys were seen carrying two beers.
- Some swears were heard.
- Random woman was able to enter Reiko Ioane's house.
Only really care about the fifth point. For his own security and privacy, Reiko Ioane should keep his front door locked in the future.

@Chris So Rieko out for about 5-6 weeks? Is that how long a fractured hand takes to heal?
Ray Niuia out for the season. Another hooker. Who'll they call up as replacement will be interesting. Maybe finally a call-up for Kereru-Symes? Surely, we must by now have run out of old fellas and can the NZU20 hooker finally get a foot in the SR door?
-
Ioane and his friends were also reportedly seen sculling alcohol and wielding two beers at once, one for sipping and one for sculling, another neighbour said.
those evil motherfuckers!!! hanging is too good for them
-
@Stargazer all depends, hands are complicated things...assume the hand injury was done during the game or training...

A lot of bones in the hand @taniwharugby is right those injuries can be complicated
Ray Niuia is a loss too not many decent hookers left
You would think Kereru-Symes is next of the rank he’s was unlucky to not land a contract
