    220+ looking feasible

10 an over for the last 5 would give us 234. Low but if the pitch is deteriorating it at least gives our bowlers a chance

    Neesham is going legend here.

Have a wee worry this could play out like the 1999 semi at Old Trafford against Pakistan where we faultered early, massively rescued it with Twose/Cairns to post mid-200s score. Then we failed to take early wickets and they knocked it off losing one wicket. But you have to back NZ in here as they must have strong bowling plans from the series at the start of the summer.

This is the very best of Neesham today, he often seems to play his best cricket when the responsibility is squarely on his shoulders.

One of the best I’ve seen from CdG, because he had to adjust his natural game and then build an innings.

I thought if we get 220 that would be enough on this wicket.

18 runs in that last over. Great work.

After that turd of a start, I'm impressed we are up over 200. Team Middle Order Rescue strikes again.

Perfect time to send out Southee for a late flurry. Oh wait.....

What a shame, he was going for 6 on that 2nd last ball with 11 to go for his ton. Hits the final one clear over the fence.

    Neesh 97* take a bow.

Good shit Neesham. You've given us a chance. Pakistan will chase 238.

237-6 50 overs. Neesham puts the final ball in the stands, left at 97*.

Defendable total, but could quickly become fodder without early wickets.

Neesh pulled that one from the fire. Genuinely believe we can win from here but odds are against us.

Pakistan have some natural hitters as well so they will have seen how Neesh and CdG played the wicket.

I’m a little worried we don’t have enough bowlers that can retain

The Pakistanis did well with a number of yorkers and slower balls in the last few overs. Southee could have replicated that, not sure if Henry can.

I actually like this set up for Henry. I've been critical of him so far this tournament but if Pakistan do come out looking to play the long game (similar to Amla & co) I do like his chances of frustrating or forcing a wicket.

If he goes at 8s here they can drop him at the airport on the way to Lords'.

Pitch seemed to have variable speed, turn, could be tough to bat on if we start well

Loving those classic seam deliveries from Ferguson.

71/2 after 16 overs. Another quick wicket or 2 would keep us well in it.

They are cruising this unfortunately. We just can't take wickets.
